B&B Villa La Cicas

27.07.2024 We were at Rome and in the morning we had problem because our car was broken and we are stolen. They stolen everything our documents and money. Immediately I call the staff of La Cicas and send clip about our car and everything. It was Saturday and every repair shop was closed until Monday. The staff of this accommodation didn’t answer the calls. It was very disappointed and we didn’t go to Capri because we didn’t have documents, money and everything else. This was really embarrassing.

Ludmilla was very nice and was available all day. Since I am able to speak some Italian she was able to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast was a large assortment of “cornetti”, yoghurt, juice, coffee and water. Basic but very good. The room was large, very clean, had a good air conditioner and a little refrigerator with bottles of water. We had a balcony with a view and there was a little pool.

Unfortunately the bus driver did not know the hotel or street so we had a bit of a walk to find the place and it was further from the center of anacapri than I realized.

Everything! Perfect location, 10min walk into Anacapri centre, about 15min walk to the blue grotto - although unfortunately we didn’t realise the day we went down there the tide was high so sadly we missed out - definitely check the tide times if you plan on visiting blue grotto to make sure you can see it. You can also catch the bus into Capri town centre which we did once but actually preferred Anacapri, more relaxing and less crowded. Our room was lovely, so spacious and plenty of drawers and cupboard space to unpack. Very clean and our host did a daily check/clean so it really was immaculate! Our host was very kind, had breakfast every morning and all around a great spot, would definitely return!

The property is very nice and has pretty grounds, along with a convenient pool and lounge chairs. It is secure and located in a nice neighborhood that is quiet. It is located very near a small market in case you need items. About a 15 minute walk to the center of Anacapri. Breakfast was fine, but it is yogurt, pastries and juices. It would have been nice to have fruit and/or option for eggs, as not everyone eats sweets for breakfast. The property has a living room area for guests to use, along with a nice patio and pool area to relax, read, etc.

The room we stayed in had a tub/shower set up, but the hose couldn't be latched up higher to give you the full shower experience - kind of difficult to shower actually. The tub had jets on it, but the jets were so clogged with dirt and mildew, I wouldn't have used it if I could. A bulb was out on the mirror light fixture, which made it difficult to see. We reported it to the caretaker, but I don't think she understood us. We used Google Translate with her, but still, I'm not sure she understood. The caretaker/host is a very nice woman who did her best to understand/accommodate us, but since she doesn't speak English, we did have some issues with communication. Also, it would be helpful to have a brochure with all the important information written on it, like passwords, check out times, breakfast hours, phone number to call in case of a room emergency, etc. The caretaker gives you verbal information when you arrive, but sometimes you forget. It was not clear to me that anyone was at the house during the overnight hours.

The hotel looks better than in the pictures! It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was lovely and I enjoyed the breakfast very much. Would definately come back.

The electric shower panel was a bit of a hassle
