The Inn On The River

Where to start. Was skeptical about because it was right on the main highway. But to my surprise I really enjoyed it. The room was small and comfortable. Beds were awesome. First time I’ve slept past 7 in 10 plus years. Loved the ducks and ducklings. The river view was amazing. Staff was very helpful. The only draw back was no bacon on the breakfast bar. Will definitely be going back

Great place - highly recommend! Super convenient location with free parking. Beautifully remodelled & modern. Nice guest room - good beds, great walk-in shower, quiet. Indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor pool were nice. Excellent breakfast. Relaxing outdoor fireplace and covered porch for feeding ducks on the river. Really wonderful thoughtful staff with lots of nice touches like the toys and board games in the lobby. We will be back!

The location is ideal. Walkable to restaurants and show. It was very quiet and extremely clean. We loved everything about our stay here.

Location. From a riverside room you could be miles from the bedlam of Pigeon Forge but in reality you are right where you need to be. Loved the cookies, popcorn and hot/cold drinks, non alcoholic, from 7pm to 10pm every night.

Breakfast was ok. No pastries were evident just a few cinnamon rolls. The Waffle mixture was too thin and put me of waffles for a while, probably a good thing. That’s it

After reading reviews on here, I finally decided to choose this place. I'm glad I did! Kaitlyn was the one at the desk that I first talked to. She is sweet and friendly. I don't think there were any staff members that weren't. The appearance of the place was very nice; inside and out. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend, so it was pretty busy. Though, I really loved how people were gathered in the lobby playing games and hanging out. The atmosphere makes people feel at home. Even with as busy as breakfast was (and the free breakfast was decent), everyone seemed to connect with others easily. Staff and guests alike were friendly and engaging with each other. We sat in the semi-outdoor area where you could see the river and the wildlife; and sometimes the wildlife joined us. A pigeon found his way in when the garage-like window was rolled up. He helped himself to all the crumbs he could find on the floor; and wasn't shy at all about eating out of my husband's hand. The geese couldn't get in because of the lower gate that keeps them out (they were so jealous), but found their way to the feeder that was outside for them. Our room was only a short distance from the lobby on the ground floor. i was happy about that because my health issues make it painful to walk too much. The room was clean and the bed/linens were soft. I can't really comment on sleep quality because I have too many issues that get in the way of me being able to really rate that. The bed and pillows were soft/comfortable and there was a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, and hairdryer. There were also lots of drawers and a place to hang clothes (which I used for my dresses). The temperature in the room could be adjusted easily. I also appreciated the open Bible that was sitting there by the TV when we got there (it was open to Psalm 119). I saw Bibles in the lobby too. So, yeah, the not-so-secret secret to such a blessed place is the presence of God. My only critiques are a few minor things that I think I also saw mentioned in another review. The shower-head could be better (though there were no issues with hot water or anything). The lighting could be improved. There were lights on the sides of the bed, but nothing overhead or on the other side of the room. Unless you had the curtains open, it was still fairly dim. Lastly, and probably because it was busy, it could be hard to find a parking space. At least they don't charge you extra to park your own car like some hotels do. Yet, none of these things are anything that would keep me from staying here again. Hopefully, I will have time to try out the hot tub next time (we were just too busy and got back too late both nights). They also have an indoor and an outdoor pool; if that's something that you like. They pretty much have anything you need and are happy to accommodate you and make you feel welcome. This place definitely deserves their stellar ratings!

Loved walking out on my patio and feeding geese, ducks, pigeons, birds, squirrels and just the serenity of the river flowing by. The room was perfect, the breakfast was good and the fresh cookies and fresh popcorn was a treat. It’s a nice family oriented atmosphere and the location is perfect.The staff was excellent and I will return in the holiday season with my family.

Loved the balcony and how stress free this visit was.
