Seemed like people lived there , way over priced for what you got , probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at for the price

An attractive “old school” motel that had an unusually large room, which included a small breakfast/dining area with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The room’s decor had clearly been updated, with a nice looking paint job, artwork, attractive bedspread, and very nice window shades that permit guests to either allow or block outside light but maintain privacy. In addition, a big plus were the wall lamps that included the all-important, additional electrical and USB outlets so often missing from older motel buildings, to accommodate all our modern personal electronic devices! But the main reason we selected this motel was its proximity to Blue Springs State Park, which we visited prior to check in. We had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the park’s gorgeous, tree lined spring with all the beautiful manatees. (The park estimated there were a total of 850 manatees present.)

The bathroom was attractively updated, but there was only a single (not full) roll of toilet paper, and it had a layer of dust in one side as if it hadn’t been individually wrapped while in storage. Plus there was an open, wall mounted box for facial tissues, but none were provided, so I ran out to our car to grab some tissues we had with us. The motel is set back from a busy main road, so there might be too much traffic noise for some folks. Plus the location and reasonable rates undoubtedly makes the attractive overnight stop for truckers, and one truck parked near our room set off it’s security alarm for a few minutes two or three after dark, and another diesel truck was started to warm up right outside at 3:00 or 4:00 am in the morning. I have to say that if the motel room doors were replaced so that they were installed to fit better and had better insulation, I believe that would help address the noise problem. (You could see exterior light shining below and along the side of the door where the door lock and handle was installed, and my husband even asked if the door was actually shut!) Finally, our registration indicated that breakfast was included with our room, but nothing about the hours was mentioned to me to me at check in. And when out at 7:00 am, the office was locked and dark, so went back to our room and left the key locked inside, since the drawer outside the office was not secured.

I loved the pet friendliness. I loved the modern clean room. The location was perfect. I will recommending you all and I will be returning.

Nothing in particular stood out.

The breakfast was incredibly low quality and often was not open when they said it would be. There was rarely a person at the front desk in the morning. The room had a cockroach infestation, an area on the floor where water would come up through if you stepped on it, and the interior lock on the door would slip into place if you closed the door with any force resulting in me being locked out for a period of time one night. Furthermore, I have yet to receive back the $100 deposit they charged when I checked in.
