The venue was ideal for the event we attended in Lanham Hills, MD, and it was peaceful and practical. The staff was professional and courteous.

The room was noticeably dated, and the bed was uncomfortable and lumpy — not quite what you'd hope for when booking a "King Room." Having stayed at many hotels over the years, I had certain expectations, and my first experience at a Sonesta Select left me somewhat disappointed. The billing process also gave me pause for thought. Being required to pay a refundable $150 room liability deposit was unexpected, since my room was already paid for, but what really caught my attention was an additional $2.26 service charge simply for using a credit card. In all my travels, I don't recall ever being charged a fee like that at a hotel, and I felt it was worth flagging for anyone considering a stay here.
