Ayres Hotel Corona - Riverside

It’s clean.

The room given to us has the window right by the hotel vent. It was incredibly loud, like a tractor. The room was extremely hot, we guess it was right above the fire place. The grandpa AC was so loud and not working strong enough but we couldn’t open the window to get the cool air in because the vent was right there. We tried to wait for the AC to kick in and not cause trouble until midnight that we really couldn’t fall asleep and asked for a room change. The staff had the worst attitude and blamed us for not telling them earlier. The original room’s number was 221 and it was first or second room on the left after you get upstairs and turn left. That location should never be a hotel room!

Hotel was nice and parking was ample.

The hotel is in desperate need of a new beds and new pillows (horrible!!!) and a new cable system because what they have is what you find at a Motel 6 ...

Secluded & quiet.

No cameras in the parking lot. So I was worried about anyone breaking in and I couldn’t do anything about it.

Had a comfortable night, the beds and pillows were good. The staff were nice. We are light sleepers, but because the traffic noise was a slight consistent rumble it did not keep us awake. The windows actually did quite a good job of keeping the noise down. They had a fire going in reception with Xmas stockings over the mantle, which was very pretty. The breakfast was good - sausage, eggs, potatoes, pastries, cereal, waffles, bagels, toast, nice coffee and juices.

The bathroom door, make sure you leave it open all the way, otherwise you may walk into it in the night.
