Unique & quaint hotel across the street from Union Station. Charming & outstanding customer service. Great complimentary European style breakfast. Fantastic location close to baseball park & restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!!

Great location to many good restraurants. Love the bourbon tasting... Staff is always willing to assist with any questions as well as recomendations. When I asked for travel directions the desk clerk walked outside with me to show me how to get there. Awesome they did not point.

I used to frequent The Oxford in the 90s with my late wife, and it was always a place we genuinely loved. Because of those memories, I chose to stay again during the first week of December, expecting at least some of the charm and quality I remembered. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. My initial room was not clean, which was surprising and frustrating. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, the response felt dismissive and came with unnecessary attitude. I was reassigned to another room, only to find that it had no view and the heater was not working — a serious issue given the time of year. I had to move rooms yet again before finally settling into something functional. Even then, the stay never really improved. Basic details felt cheap and overlooked, such as flimsy soap dispensers in the bathroom that seemed out of place for a hotel of this reputation. I requested housekeeping during my stay as instructed by the front desk, but it was never completed, and I eventually stopped asking. Beyond these issues, the hotel felt generally worn and inattentive — slow responses to requests, common areas that didn’t feel particularly well maintained, and an overall lack of pride that was noticeable compared to past visits. Nothing was outright catastrophic, but the accumulation of inconveniences made the stay uncomfortable and disappointing. I don’t know who has been in charge over the last few years, but the change is undeniable. What was once a place I associated with warmth and quality now feels like it’s coasting on its name rather than delivering on it. I truly hope the hotel finds its way back to what it used to be, but for now, I would recommend potential guests consider other options.

Whole experience with Oxford Hotel was good and easy. You could walk everywhere from the hotel. Room was clean and staff was helpful. Jon P who did the valet even had my car ready and waiting for me when it was time to leave for an early flight. Perfect stay.

We spent 2 nights-3 days in downtown Denver at the Oxford Hotel. A charming hotel near the Union Station. Parking was a little expensive so we parked our cars at a cheaper nearby garage that was walking distance. The lobby was wonderful with a roaring fireplace and beautifully decorated for the season. The Valet parking staff can drive you to close by spots and both the parking staff and the front desk staff were outstanding. The free breakfast served in the lobby was a delicious bonus. The rooms were perfect and evoked a sense of the Hotel's past glory brought to life. If you enjoy old fashioned charm and value for money the Oxford Hotel is an incredible value !

I cannot begin to tell you the total satisfaction of my stay at The Oxford for my Thanksgiving holiday. From the moment I walked in the door the warm setting of the fire burning in the fireplace and the holiday decorations to the kindness of all the staff. The room was lovely and comfortable with soft bathrobes and luxurious towels. I really appreciated having car service within 2 miles and I felt safe walking around the Downtown from the hotel. The breakfast each morning was delightful and being able to have my coffee and breakfast in front of a roaring fire in the lobby was magical. The hotel was very clean and I did ask for housekeeping one day during my stay and they did a very nice job. I also enjoyed the Spa and they were excellent as well. I liked the small writing desk on each floor and the opportunity to send a post card from the front desk. The rooms were quiet too which was certainly a benefit of the original 1891 architecture.

Great location right next to Union Station and a ton of restaurants and shops, rooms were very clean, and for the most part, really enjoyed our stay. A few things that I’d definitely prepare for are the noise especially if you are there on the weekends. It can get somewhat loud deep into the night so I’d definitely recommend ear plugs or finding a room not on the street side. A few other things regarding the room, it is very spacious and great layout. That said, the bathroom sinks are very tiny and the faucets we had squeaked until we left the water running. The TV we had did not work but didn’t truly impact our stay since but it’s not a smart TV if you’re looking for something modern that can stream from another device. They serve a light continental breakfast in the lobby but if you’re vegan, there won’t be anything for you which they communicated when I inquired about ahead of time but something to note for vegans. Overall, it’s a pretty good hotel and it has a ton of charm but given that it’s historic it will come with some potential annoyances but excellent value for the location and proximity to everything in downtown Denver!

The hotel is charming because it's old and from an era when high ceilings and architectural detail mattered. The location was great: as central as can be. And the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast was okay: the quality of the food was reasonably healthy. However its location—in the lobby in front of the front desk and elevators, with no proper seating (or anywhere near enough of it) for eating it (i.e.: no dinner tables or chairs that are conducive to eating or digestion)—was the major problem. Without a "true" dining room — or even a private nook with cafe tables and chairs — the breakfast felt like an afterthought and was awkward to scarf down. Plus: with only industrial coffee—no espresso machines—we invariably went next door to pay for a *real* coffee. The other things about the hotel was the fitness center. A truly excellent one! However, it's in a separate building, run by an independent entity, and half the time, the gym wasn't open during their stated hours, since the staff invariably showed up late. Sadly, this meant mornings—when a number of people work out—were hit or miss. The best the hotel could offer was to give access to a third-party gym a few blocks away. Not ok.

My sister and I spent a long weekend at the Oxford in October and I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. Not only is it beautiful, clean and centrally located, the hotel staff was the best part of our stay. EVERYONE was so welcoming and accommodating. It made us feel like family. The restaurant and bar inside the hotel is also wonderful! If you have the opportunity to stay at the Oxford, you will not be disappointed. The Oxford hotel will make your Denver trip extra special.
