we stayed twice for a sleepover at Vancouver Hotel, both in 2008 and 2011. We got the impression that it stayed the same -- by which we mean it needs some refurbishiment. Bed clothing weren't in their best days, seeming worn out. The room is very basic, with old tv sets and non-silent AC, but they have no carpets (a plus side) and are clean. We missed a soundproof window, as the hotel is neighbour to a major highway (rodovia Anhanguera) and also a blackout curtain. For some extra 30 reais you can stay at Ibis or Comfort and have a better sleep.
