We requested, and received, a first floor room when making the same day reservation through the app. Nice. The bathroom was clean and well lit. The shower was great. Bonus: the light and fan had separate switches. Nice. The room was well lit and had lots of surfaces to place items of varying sizes. Nice. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Nice. There was a stink bug. Alive and moving under the desk chair. No evidence of an infestation, but that one was enough. Not nice. Ick. There’s a $3 charge for parking, which was disclosed at check in. Really? There’s that many guests that just literally drop in from the nearby airports? This facility does not offer shuttle service, so how do people get there? We were not asked for vehicle or license plate information, so apparently they don’t patrol the lot to ensure that scofflaws aren’t trespassing. Why not adjust the room rates? We would have still chosen this location at $3 more for the room. Not nice at all.

Staff were wonderful. Was nice to have hot coffee, hot chocolate, ice tea, and cookies available all day and evening. Complimentary breakfast was good. Worker kept everything fresh and clean.

The hotel was very clean but very dated.

We were on our way home from Virginia and were going to stay at this hotel when my husband had a medical emergency and ended up in the hospital in Ohio. We had paid for our reservation in advance and needed to cancel it and receive a refund for the night we were to stay. I called the night before to cancel our reservation and did cancel it. I waited the amount of time and did not see a refund on our credit card. I called the hotel and spoke with Mary Z. She went way above and beyond her job responsibilities to help me figure out how to get my refund. She was at the front desk by herself and was swamped with a wedding party checking in and was struggling to help me and the guests checking in and so she stated that she would stay after her shift to get the matter resolved. It took a long time with multiple phone calls before all the issues were resolved. Thank you so much Mary Z! I appreciate all your help, patience, and kindness in navigating this refund. Joy G
