Rooms were a bit basic for price (double bed pushed up against wall, limited toiletries, broken window mechanism, disappointing view)

Rooms were basic; no bedside table, no fridge, no air con and whole hotel was a bit tired and needs a re-fresh. The online photos are very generous. During the night, there is an unpleasant smell in the bathrooms. It could be an amazing hotel as there are many beautiful original features. The seating area by the canal needs work as such a bonus to have that space but more needs to be done to make it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy drinks.

Great hotel in a fantastic location in the centre of Bruge. Exceptional staff who were extremely accommodating. Great breakfast , and a lovely courtyard area by the canal.

We visited during very hot weather - there is no air conditioning, which in itself wasn’t a problem particularly given the age of the hotel building, but they could do with providing slightly better fans as it was too warm during the night.
