The Cosy Kingfisher at Tattershall Lakes

Location. Lovely place and lots of activities

We were really looking forward to this trip, but the whole experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, it was dark and none of the outside lights worked, so we couldn’t even see the key safe to get in. It took over 20 minutes to access the caravan. We had paid extra for a caravan with a hot tub, but when we opened the (broken) lid, the water was freezing cold at 23°C. I contacted the host straight away, but they said the technician couldn’t come until the next day — no help at all, as that was our only evening to use it. Even at midnight, the temperature had only reached 27°C, so it was completely unusable. The next morning we discovered that every bit of cutlery, pans, and kitchenware was filthy, covered in leftover food. We had to wash everything before we could even make breakfast, which made us late for our day out. When I raised these issues after the stay, the host was rude and dismissive — blaming the cleaning company and saying I should have complained sooner, even though I messaged about the hot tub straight away. Overall, the caravan was not as described, poorly maintained, and definitely not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this property at all — especially given how unhelpful and unprofessional the owner was when things went wrong & is now ignoring our request for a refund.

Very comfortable clean extremely comfortable bed with lovely bedding pillows a little hard and flat but that’s just my opinion and personal view , being pet friendly was a huge bonus

There was nothing to dislike

The caravans location was excellent. The four birth van was perfect for our two night stay. It was very clean and well equipped. The internet kept dropping in and out but that wasn’t really a problem for us as we were only in , in the mornings and at tea time.

Nothing really as it was just what we expected for the money we paid.

We rented this van through booking.com,on the photos the van looked nice,but when we got to the van the decking was dirty and entering the van the carpet was dirty and stained the sofa was threaded and all the cushions had feathers coming out also the arm of the sofa has no padding on Tou could feel the frame underneath the arm which is dangerous for kids,the table was sticky,the bathroom looked clean,so the start of our short break I was cleaning which is not a great start and is very annoying as the charge is £55 on your booking for a cleaner,on the second evening I decided to put a pizza in for my grandkids only to find the oven tray was covered in food,and then to top it of about 5pm we was ready to go into the hot tub and directly outside the van was rats running around the van and even going onto the decking area of the caravan opposite us,I think the owner should really have a deep clean and remove the stained carpet and repaire the sofa and have a good word to the cleaner

Reslly cute, lovely little caravan, was the first time for us travelling by ourselves as a young family and the lady I spoke to was so helpful and got back to me really quickly.
