Beautiful view

It was a quiet gem in a busy town. The room and hotel were clean. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. We felt safe and relaxed.

Staff at the hotel were very polite, they did all possible to helped me with a mistake that I made with my booking, great customer service

Location

I booked a one night stay using my Hilton Loyalty points. I called the hotel at 9am the morning of my check-in and confirmed my reservation. The front desk clerk confirmed it and I requested an early check-in between 1 - 2 pm because of a wedding I was attending. She responded it would be no problem. I arrived at 1:50 pm and was informed that my room was not ready yet and that I needed to wait. I asked about my early check-in request and if she could switch me to a room that was ready. She refused and said they were full. I wait in the lobby while the ceiling is dripping water on the furniture and floor. 40 minutes later, the 2 clerks have not given me any update and meanwhile have checked in 2 different Caucasian couples while I am a person of color. I ask for a status and one clerk says they are understaffed and my room hasn't even been started! I ask to speak with the General Manager "Jayson Melendez" and am informed that he is not there but they will have the housekeeping supervisor come to speak with me (She had been in the lobby at least twice while I was waiting). She comes down to speak to me and says she was not informed about my early check-in request but to give her 15 minutes. She also told me that Hampton check in time is 3 pm with guaranteed room ready by 4 pm. 15 minutes later, my room was ready (after a 55 minute wait) and I was able to check in. No apologies or sense of urgency by the 2 front desk clerks who were busy chatting with each other, on their cellphones and eating Taco Bell. An email to the General Manager "Jayson Melendez" asking for a follow up call to discuss my experience resulted in no response. The room itself was fine and the breakfast was "meh" but edible. I did file a report with the Corporate Hilton office about what I felt was discrimination and their automated response was that I would receive a response in 3 business days and have yet to hear anything. Hilton is in the hospitality business - treat your customers better and don't hire people who don't respect this.

Has a lot of wear and tear. Needs updated. Doesn’t seem inviting. It was ok not dirty but needs way more curb appeal and decor uodates.

Hotel was nice. Standard rooms no real frills. Staff was nice. Breakfast was excellent and breakfast staff were amazing. Only complaint was pool. We stated for a weekend Fri and Sat night. Check out at 11 on Sun. The pool wasn't open on Sunday due to cleaning per hotel front desk. However, no one was actively cleaning the pool and it did not open at 10 as the staff said it would. Just a mild inconvenience, but one last splash in the pool would have made my kids day. It really appeared that the pool being closed was just to deter people from waiting to check out. Pool posted hours stated it was open at 8am just for clarity.

It was an adequate hotel. It was an expensive time to visit the area so I appreciate the value for money. However, the rooms are old and somewhat run down. The bed and main area were clean, but the bathroom still was kind of dirty and had a big hair on the sink when we arrived. I was hoping it would be a renovated Hampton Inn, but it was old. The curtains were sticky and stained, and the tv was tiny and probably from the 2000s. The staff was friendly, so it was a good experience overall, but I wish that the hotel rooms had better cleanliness and care.
