the beds and linens are extremely comfortable. The front desk staff was excellent. I ate outside and that facility is quite nice. The staff there were helpful and professional.

The lobby is getting a bit worn. I have stayed here for the past 5 years on occasion and can see the changes. The plants are not cared for and the rugs and elevators are getting old and worn. They need an upgrade.

I wanted to like this hotel, but it fought me and won. The room was clean. The writing progress bar wants me to tell you more, since this is about what we liked, the only other things we liked were: the water in the lobby was cold and pleasant to drink, and the hotel is close to a lot of nice ethnic restaurants, so go for a walk for your meals (especially as, even at the high prices the hotel charges for small and less than impressive rooms) there is no breakfast included in the price.

Room was clean (this we liked), but housekeeping struggled to refill items consistently; when I tried using the hotel phone to reach the front desk, the button claiming to connect to the front desk button went straight to "group sales." I left them a message, because they should know what's failing in their hotel (kept things VERY short). I called the general hotel phone number on my cell (otherwise it appeared I would have been charged by the hotel...they charge for everything) and reached a man at the front desk who assured me he'd take care of things "immediately." "Immediately" never came; we never got what we asked for (soap, more coffee creamers). The scent perfuming the hallways (though initially pleasant) gave us headaches. The air-conditioning went from non-existent to overwhelming without us changing the thermostat and suddenly grew very loud late one night, then with a dramatic ka-chunk, stopped. There was the noise of something chewing in the bathroom ceiling, the bathroom was poorly ventilated (likely accounting for the bubbling of the paint on the ceiling and the rough appearance of the bottom of the bathroom's door). On our last day, plain white hand towels were replaced with ones with the ANASAZI logo (which was odd, since that wasn't the hotel we were staying in...). Garage entrance is low (6'3"?), the ramps in and out are narrow but supposed to accommodate two-way traffic (seems unlikely), parking is awkward at best (and $45 a night). The 24/7 gym seemed good, though the lighting was really weird (likely due to use of the blacklights). The wi-fi never worked, my concerns and complaints (when made in-person to B...r at the front desk) were shrugged off (perhaps she had much bigger concerns like the white stuff leaking from the garage's ceiling).
