Glover Park Hotel Georgetown

Very spacious room with good quality amenities

The layout of the first floor is not ideal.

This is a great hotel especially useful if you need to stay in this area. Area is great within walking distance to good cafe for breakfast. The hotel has restaurant as well which is decent. Close by is a very trendy Georgetown area with a lot of good restaurants.

Everything was good

Rooms comfortable & clean, but maintenance issues (water pressure, non-working safe, broken dresser, noisy fridge, cloudy window). Daily housekeeping service (courteous). Prime location. Restaurant staff gracious/courteous. Manager gave generous parking discount for hospital stay.

Front Desk staff made little effort to smile or appear friendly, some bordering on rude - but did comply with direct requests. Parking situation confusing/dangerous with NO staff to assist or direct ($53/night if no discount requested). Poor noise insulation, very loud banging doors. NO assistance with bags. NO laundry service of any kind. NO shuttle even to hospital or university (one mile away). NO receipt offered upon check-out. 3% fee for credit card payment (how else would you pay??) Not a 4-star hotel; the daily housekeeping service puts it just above a 3.

The room next door was noisy at 2 am.

The front desk lady was amazing. The room was clean, bed was comfortable

My room was facing the restaurant patio and they had live music. It was very, very loud as if the band was inside of my room. I was tired and couldn't really rest. To be fair they stopped around 9pm.

Hotel of this caliber could have had valet parking

the beds and linens are extremely comfortable. The front desk staff was excellent. I ate outside and that facility is quite nice. The staff there were helpful and professional.

The lobby is getting a bit worn. I have stayed here for the past 5 years on occasion and can see the changes. The plants are not cared for and the rugs and elevators are getting old and worn. They need an upgrade.
