"Amazing breakfast!"

7.0

Location and breakfast were amazing. The hosts were also so lovely.

The bed was a little uncomfortable (princess here!) and the room was also very cold on arrival because the radiator wasn’t on and it was minus 3 degrees outside!

"Perfect place to stay for a break at The Witterings."

9.0

Great location, only 20 mins walk to the West Wittering Estate car park. 5 mins walk to The Wittering Pub. (Where I enjoyed a tasty lunch there.) Easy access to Chichester and surrounding villages. Beautifully presented property full of home comforts. Lovely social area used as a dining room and lounge. Plus another little quiet area at the back with blankets, games, books, sweets, biscuits, a fridge housing bottles of water for guests plus a microwave. Umbrellas by the stairs. Bedrooms had a very well detailed folder giving information of local eateries and takeaways, earmarking those which use ‘just eat’ for delivery. Nice en-suite shower room, large wardrobe which could even house a chest of drawers but there were three drawers in each bedside cabinet. Wonderful to have a chair, tv, good size fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, corkscrew, mugs and wine/flute glasses. Also set up for charging phones etc. Loved the ‘frosted’ style roller blind for privacy and radiator heated up very well indeed. Breakfast consisted of a selection of cereals, pastries, jams, Greek yogurt, homemade raspberry and blueberry compote, granola, fresh fruit and a varied cooked breakfast menu as well. Milk was served in small cute glass bottles as were the fresh juices. The mango was delicious. Tables were left with crockery and cutlery covered by linen in case guests were ordering takeaways. A selection of books are upstairs on the landing. Very friendly team of cleaners too. But most of all the owner, Pam is a warm, kind and welcoming lady who knows her returning guests well and takes time to speak to everyone. Any questions about the area are always answered. I was visiting in order to scatter my husband’s ashes and Pam was very compassionate and supportive. Thank you Pam for your generosity and kindness. Lorna is also very friendly and great in the kitchen plus it is so lovely to see the younger generation helping and working in hospitality.

I wasn’t too sure about the mattress but I do have a spinal compression in my neck so it could have just been me. Plus I had walked 25,000 steps one day in particular.
