Beraja Family Hostel

Very clean hostel with comfy beds and a quiet, relaxing vibe. Good location near the Metropolitano station and Malecon. I also had a 4-person room to myself for 2 nights so can't complain at all! FYI the second floor rooms are connected and the staircase to access it is narrow and spiralling. There are also only 4 sockets in a 4-person room.

Lovely hostel with lots of character and friendly staff. Loved the cats! Breakfast was also great.

Rooms are very close to common space so a bit noisy.

This property treated me horribly like any other place ever did! I am a female solo traveler, and they tried to charge me insane extras that they made up on a go and left me alone at night in Lima, while later demanding all the money in the morning!! I booked three nights with them and right away asked if I could check in after midnight, since my flight was landing late. The description specified that the check in is flexible so I was hoping they would accommodate me no problem. After texting me privately, they started demanding from me to pay them 30 USD for a private pick up from the airport - which I did not need ! - PLUS a late check in fee that costs like another night there! They said they will refuse to let me in if I arrive myself without their driver, which was ridiculous. Finally after arguing, they agreed to let me in if I arrive myself without their driver, but I still had to pay a huge late check in fee. In addition, they told me they will wait only until 1 am because their worker needs to sleep - why was I paying for late check in then…? In the end, I was late because of the flight, I texted them in advance saying I will need 20 more minutes but no one replied. I arrived to the location at night only to end up in front of a closed hostel, and after calls through the phone and the door bell no one opened the door for me. I had to urgently look for an open place which would take me at night. I was alone, with luggage and at 2 am in Lima. In the morning, after spending a night in a random but nice hostel, I received messages from Beraja saying I am guilty for not showing up and I will have to pay for all three nights and to pay their worker since he was waiting until 1 am. Luckily, Booking’s support helped me to cancel the reservation and not pay anything. But the hostel argued with me til the last moment and I had to block them because they wouldn’t stop texting me.

Homey vibe, very comfortable, very clean, great breakfast !

I'm struggling to find something I didn't like, maybe the bunk beds in my room, which were not the most stable, it moved a bit too much when the person above me moved.

Amei a estadia, os quartos e o banheiro eram sempre limpos, o café da manhã era satisfatório, ótima localização e o proprietário um fofo me ajudou com a localização de casas de cambio, pontos turísticos, mercado, etc...
