Stoneborough House B&B

Beautiful house in excellent central location. Facilities and furnishings were of an excellent quality and the house was beautifully furnished. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, quality ingredients served on beautiful Crockery. We could not fault anything about our stay apart from it was too short!!!

Nothing - everything was exceptional!

Comfy, clean and spacious room and ensuite with everything we could need included. Really exceptional breakfast with attention to detail in presentation. Again, everything we could want was there. Delicious homemade jam and marmalades...and homemade cake left for our afternoon return. Excellent location for coastal path and Otter Estury paths, we hardly used the car whilst there. Excellent hosts, chatty, friendly and knowledgeable of area. We would definitely return.

One of the best kept properties I have ever stayed in. Spacious room , access to conservatory and lounge and spotless. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Cake and biscuits appeared in the room every day. Very friendly and helpful host.

Perfect stay at Stoneborough House. Kathryn is paying attention to every detail. Above all, the breakfast is absolutely outstanding.

Every positive review here is true. This has to be the best B and B we have ever stayed in. Even if we didn’t love Budleigh Salterton, which we do, we’d still return to the B and B again and again. Wonderful welcome, nothing too much trouble. Free and easy parking. Perfect, quiet location, bus stop across the road. 5 minutes walk to the beach and simple, pretty High Street with shops, restaurants and a pub. The walk back up hill may be difficult for those with limited mobility. Our room was large, calm, comfortable, beautifully decorated and fitted out. The shower room too, spotless, as was the rest of the house. Quality fittings and bed linen. Guest lounge, conservatory and garden so lovely. We liked the use of the guest fridge. Very good WiFi. Great care and thought taken with everything. We looked forward to returning each evening and felt completely at home. The home made cake left for us each day was very much enjoyed. Breakfast, which you choose the night before, was amazing. Which we took on a private table in the conservatory, rather than a shared table in the breakfast room. I could write a whole paragraph just on that. So much choice and quality food. Kathryn’s preserves were out of this world as was George’s cooking . The best breakfast we’ve ever eaten in a B and B, or a hotel. Great value stay. This will be our ‘go to’ now. A very special place.

Having to leave and I think we may always feel just a little disappointed wherever else we stay. This is the yardstick for all other stays.

4th visit. As good as ever!
