Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA

Friendly staff, breakfast included and walkable distance to coffee and thrifty. Short distance to drive to the parliament and downtown. I was there when their staff were on strike but I still got a really good service and was offered an additional free parking for our stay in their underground parking.

Room was ok, there were a couple of bugs but overall ok

We had a great room overlooking the harbor area and the boats. It was so fun seeing the float planes and the beauty of the water from my room.

The hotel itself was great — clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff who were working were kind and professional despite a difficult situation. You can tell it’s normally a wonderful place to stay, and under different circumstances we would have loved it.

We arrived to find that workers were on strike — something we were not informed of by Booking.com before our stay. Because of this, the restaurant was closed, there was no room service or breakfast, and crossing the picket line felt uncomfortable. We specifically booked this hotel for its amenities and dining, and would have made a different choice if we’d known. For nearly $400 per night, we feel we should have been informed and hope Booking.com will offer a partial refund for the unavailable services.

My husband and I had 3 nights stay in an ocean view room in 6 floor. It could not be better than what we experienced, opening the room door and viewing the blue ocean. Highly recommended.

The only downside was having to pay for parking even though I was a hotel guest; otherwise, it was all good!
