Beautiful grounds, attentive staff and excellent facilities. Everything top-notch.

Great views of the ocean, incredible sunsets and scenery. Asian inspired motiff. Plenty of pools and fresh water lagoon to choose from for swimming. Fabulous Luau. Great restaurants. The Dolphin Experience was at another level. Worth the money.

Wonderful property with the usual delightful Four Seasons service and eye for detail. We loved spending time by the King’s Pond and the Quiet pool, having pool side meals, taking long walks on the immaculate grounds, and spending our evenings dining at the Resident’s Beach House. Ulu was unfortunately closed during our stay. We did have one dinner at the Beach Tree cafe but preferred the Residents Beach House more. And in the mornings, we loved getting smoothies, coffees and small eats at the Coffee Shop (Hualalai Trading Co.). They have the best Matcha Latte ever! Overall, a delightful stay and we’d love to be back soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui and then the Four Seasons Hualālai in late January. Both were excellent. Our stay at the Four Seasons Hualālai was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly luxurious. Greeted with leis and mai tais in a private check-in area, we were quickly whisked away by golf cart to our room – an elegant and seamless start to our stay. Thoughtful, Personalized Service The service here is exceptional. A handwritten note from the manager referencing our stay at their Maui property was a nice personal touch – especially when combined with a delicious plate of chocolates. Housekeeping even left bookmarks in our books—such a small gesture, but incredibly thoughtful. The valets were always prompt and friendly, and the concierge went above and beyond, even providing a webcam when I needed to join a video call one morning. A Private Paradise The property is lush, expansive, and beautifully maintained. Despite being nearly fully booked, it never felt crowded. The oceanfront walkway along the golf course is stunning, and the resort’s secluded location – not being in a row of resorts – adds to the sense of privacy, while still being just a 15-minute drive to town. We loved discovering little touches like the beach shack with shuffleboard, and the cocktail class was both fun and informative. Reserving a nest by the pool for a day was a highlight – tucked between the ocean and pool, yet surrounded by greenery for privacy. All the pools were fantastic, and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. Comfort and Convenience in Every Detail Our second-floor room had a gorgeous view (picture attached) and was well-appointed with comfortable balcony furniture. The in-room iPad made it easy to request services, order food, or call for the car. While we didn’t use the laundry rooms, it’s a great amenity for longer stays. I did use the laundry service to press a dress, and it was quick and efficient. One small hiccup: the beach bags in the room had tags saying they could be purchased at the concierge, but the staff there weren’t aware. After a quick call, we were directed to the clothing store near the spa, where they were available (though not on display). A minor issue, but worth updating for clarity. Dining with a View Dining was mostly excellent. The standout was our final dinner at Ulu, where Taylar provided impeccable service and the desserts were unforgettable. Miller offered a different vibe—set back from the beach but with lovely golf course views, especially at sunset. When making the reservation, you should note that you want an outdoor table on the veranda to ensure the best views. The only area that didn’t quite meet expectations was breakfast. The selection was more limited than at the Maui property, and we eventually started heading into town for breakfast. That said, most of the resort’s restaurants are oceanfront, which is a big plus over most options in town. We also enjoyed the on-site store with ice cream and bocce—great for souvenirs and a fun little outing. Final Thoughts Four Seasons Hualālai is a serene, luxurious retreat that blends natural beauty with impeccable service. It’s a place where every detail is considered, and even at full capacity, it feels like your own private paradise. We’re already dreaming of our next visit.

Excellent stay at Hualalai. Great experience in Hawaii that was not too far from the town of Kona that created a peaceful escape but also allowed for exploration of the island of Hawaii

Lovely resort with a high ratio of staff to resort guest. The resort is pretty incredible. Lots of choices for peace and quiet. We spent most time in the adult areas but it looked like there was lots for kids too do. Best feature is the laundry outside the rooms. Loved getting lattes at the trading post every morning, just wish they open sooner than 6:30 AM!

The resort is beautiful as always. Hualalai is a special place. The food could not be more expensive, the servers more dilatory and bored with cranking out big tips schlepping the same way over-priced food to all too willing to ovetpay guests. The menus have not changed in years. Literally. The general store team is great. Mushi is the greatest! Its the soul of the place and I hope they dont screw it up. The pool is a great place to stay sober. The new staff could not care less, the guests keep lining up for meh food and disgusting drinks that are so poorly made its embarrassing. The drink prices are high and thats copasetic - but do they need to be so poorly and sloppily made? The old heads at the pool are great. Some have been here a decade plus and they are always smiling. Its the new crop that just hangs out at their stand, mope around and have zero to give. Its likely time for some updating of the F&B. There are too many choices now to keep shoveling the same…. Massages for $300 plus tip? I just hope the software companies and car companies presidents trips dont slow down!

Check in was quick and efficient. Room was well maintained and clean with good amenities. The gym was brilliant, one of the best ones I’ve come across in a hotel. Although the gym facilities were brilliant, the area itself could have been maintained better as often you’d find rubbish on the floor from previous days or users. The trading company coffee shop/store was great, wide range of selection from fresh smoothies/coffees to cakes, to toiletries and souvenirs. We really enjoyed this place and was a daily visitor. Breakfast was quite busy at peak times and although tables were available you still had to wait 5-10 mins on arrival before being seated. Selection of food was average, could have been improved with more healthier options and leaving smoked salmon or cured meats into the open air wasn’t exactly what I would feel is very hygienic. The restaurants were okay, but 3 of them were very much similar and offered the same just in different areas of the resort. Overall we enjoyed this hotel, yes we would return should we be in transit to another location but wouldn’t make a bee line to return to this resort alone. Various areas of the hotel are looking tired (toilets near the tennis courts and toilets near Kings Pond) but all in all we had a pleasant time.

My family just returned from a week long stay at FSH. Overall we had a great time. The hotel and surrounding area are unbelievably gorgeous. The rooms were superb as well. It was certainly crowded, and there were days I was glad that my family are morning people as often by 8am there was a line to get in to breakfast and by 10am most of the beach and pool chairs were taken. That said, if you tell the pool attendant they are pretty good about reclaiming abandoned chairs. All of the activities we did on property - fishing, eagle ray feeding, art by the pool, snorkel, paddle board canoe, dolphin/whale watching trip - were a lot of fun. However, we would have expected more of these activities to be either included with or subsidized by the price you are paying to stay at the resort, but (except just snorkel from the beach) all were super pricey. For example, using a paddle board oneself (no staff assistance) was $100. Just felt a little nickle and dimed. By and large the service here was top notch. The staff at the pools, restaurants, ocean activities, natural resources and kids programs were all so kind, knowledgeable and attentive. The staff here are really what make staying here worth it in my opinion. The one caveat here is the concierge team prior to arrival took forever to respond to emails. I'm talking days or even weeks without even a response, only replying after one or more follow up emails. This normally wouldn't be more than a minor annoyance, but sometimes between emails activities that had previously been available would get booked up, which was really frustrating.

Coral Photography was amazing! This was a family trip to celebrate a birthday and we were so happy we were able to capture these incredible family memories! Couldn’t be happier with the entire process, and our photographer Ramon was perfect especially when working with kids! Ronacin also made the entire viewing experience seamless! 10/10 would recommend!
