Castle Hotel Macroom

I asked for a quiet room because we were coming off a big hike and needed a good sleep, and we got the perfect room, way down the end of a corridor. Staff were lovely, the breakfast was good, and the food in the bar next door was great. Plus there was a good size bathtub in the bathroom that was everything my aching body needed!

Central location within Macroom Town. Swimming pool and leisure centre

Rooms were clean but standard of mattresses is poor. I have stayed in 2 star hotels with better mattresses. The mattress was old and springs were gone. It was a box spring matress and was also lumpy. Wouldnt come back to stay again. Last time i was on a similar matress was over 20 years ago. Most hotels have very good standard for matress.

Staff was very kind in general. The pool and sauna are really nice for relaxing. We also ate at the restaurant everyday and the food and service was fantastic. We would love to comeback someday.

Lovely greet at reception . Lovely room . Nice lively bar with sport on the Tv which added to the atmosphere but you could still talk . Nice breakfast . Very nice hotel for a one or two night stay . Some nice bars in the area

Everything was okay . Nothing jumped out . Except maybe the lift is a good distance from some of the rooms
