Active bed bug infestation. Saw several bed bugs after turning on the lights. Facilities worn down. Toilet broken. Room not clean. Staff unhelpful when I asked for a refund. Staff started screening my calls and hanging up the phone when I called in regards to continued inquiry about refund.

The hotel was not clean bed sheets looks like it hasn't been washed, there's roaches running around.

To be honest, we didn't like an anything about this place. The travel lodge is located in one of the most disgusting areas of Atlanta with a lot of illegal; activities going on! It is clearly evident it is used by 'undesirable people' and I would not recommend staying here if you value your life - IT COULD BE VERY UNSAFE, ESPECIALLY FOR A YOUNG FEMALE! To start with check-in took a lot longer than normal and was done from a secure window in a small lobby and there was one guy in front of us in the queue who was having issues paying. The small vending machine lobby where you have to check-in, was occupied by what appeared to be a homeless female whose pram had her belongings in it. She was clearly on drugs and, bearing in mind it was midnight that we checked-in (due to delayed flight), it was pretty awful to occupy the same space as her (and, her 'male company' who showed up as we were heading to our rooms also appeared on drugs. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY FOR SURE! On our way to the rooms, there was a black guy clearly 'high as a kite' walking round shouting his head off and acting in a threatening manner. There was presence of a security guard, and I believe a police car arrived shortly after we retired for the night. There is not a great deal I can say in respect of the room being acceptable (we had nowhere else to go); it was disgusting AND SMELLED OF WEED/CIGARETTES: The throw/ eiderdown on the bed had several cigarette burns! The room and items including the supplied towels were disgusting. I took photographs of the bathtub, shower, the walls, the filthy entrance door, and other disgusting and shocking areas. This Travelodge appears to be in a ghetto, and from what we observed in the morning, it was clear that people come and go from that area for a reason that I dare hazard to guess!! A young girl in her 20s was walking around the car park in just a pair of knickers and T-shirt with slippers on at 11 am (photos). She appeared to be standing on the corner of the road for a short period of time before returning to a room. The cleaners are not doing their job properly, the towels need destroying (photos of towels as found); they are well used and have ingrained dirt apparently cannot wash out. This has to be one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in my life. *READ ALL REVIEWS - THIS PLACE IS BAD!*
