Red Roof Inn Cleveland Airport - Middleburg Heights

Although the check-in was okay, the room was a huge disappointment. It smelled like damp cat. The carpet felt dirty. The cable is limited. Why does the toilet sit so close to the floor? I felt like my knees were at my chin it was so low. Other than two small bars of soap, there were no amenities, and no hand towels - only 2 bath towels and one washcloth. The only redeeming thing was that the mattresses were a good firmness for us. Other than that, no thanks. We've stayed at Red Roofs before that were somewhat better than this, but are now crossing them off our list.

Starting from the reception it smells very bad with a lot of smoke, unsafe for any family with kids. Rooms smell is soo bad full of smoke, and they couldn’t find our booking on their system and stayed two hours online with booking.com and the hotel, our reservation was confirmed on booking but the hotel couldn’t find it and after two hours they requested from us to pay again to take a new room with an amount more than we’ve booked the room with. After paying again and taking a room, while booking confirming that our original booking exist, the smell of the room was so bad and my kid couldn’t even stay for 5 minutes inside the room. Went back to the reception to change the room and the guy told me sorry I don’t know how to search for empty rooms, need to call someone else and that added another 30 minutes, was a terrible stay and they ruined our trip.

Initially our room keys did not work for the room assigned to us, we had to go back down twice and then finally got assigned a different room. Upon entering there was a terrible smell which made it difficult to breathe and the bathroom was not the best either.
