Red Roof Inn Elkhart

Absolutely disgusting! Place is filthy, room reeks of smoke, toilet ran all night, holes in the walls, stains all over the walls, dogs barking - could hardly sleep. Stopped here as a rest place on a road trip - should have asked for a refund and gotten right back in the car.

We checked in and immediately noticed paint peeling from the walls and generally unkept The room smelled strongly of dogs, and when we used the bathroom, the toilet wouldn’t even flush. The safe wouldn’t open or lock properly, so the front desk sent maintenance. The man ended up taking the entire safe apart, leaving pieces all over the floor, and then told us he couldn’t fix it. We asked to be moved, but the second room was just as bad — it smelled awful, the safe still didn’t work, and to make things even worse, we found a used sex toy left inside the safe. Completely unacceptable. This property is disgusting, dirty, and clearly not maintained. Between the odours, broken fixtures, and unsavoury characters wandering around, we didn’t feel comfortable or safe staying here. Avoid this place at all costs.

It was very nice. Pet friendly glad to see people were picking up after their dogs.

Only property available but I know why now

Room was dirty, walls were filthy. I had to clean spiderwebs off wall by door. Could not take a shower bc the bathroom was nasty. Doesn’t look like anyone cleaned the room in weeks. Just emptied trash and changed sheets. Bed was old and uncomfortable. It was very uncomfortable couldn’t relax bc room so nasty

Cheap rates!

This is an old, tired hotel. The floors were dirty, paint stained and peeling, bathtub old and dirty looking. One of two beds in very poor condition. No hairdryer in room. Coffee only in lobby. No kettle to make tea. Very overpriced at $227 Canadian per night for a rather disgusting experience.

Worst place ive ever seen. Did not stay. Dirty smelly discussing room. Pleas do not stay there .
