"I was exhausted and I got a good night's sleep. The location was strip mall gloomy."

The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The room was a bit shabby. The bed was comfortable but there was a shaggy brown blanket that I wouldn't sleep under if you paid me. Regular bed blanket better. TV was not usable due to whatever the problem was with provider. This is a real problem and should be addressed by upper Econolodge management.

Bedding, TV, general repair and upkeep. This is, I believe, the low end of Choice Hotels/Motels and it showed.
