Knights Inn - Plant City

There wasn't anything in the room but a bed and television

All of the stated amenities, breakfast, pool, etc. were unavailable and you were given a sheet to sign at check in acknowledging that you understood that those things were not available. There was not any indication that they were even working on them.

This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. It's in a great location where they could get a great deal of business especially being so close to Jehovah's Witnesses convention center. The hotel is old, mostly used for migrant workers. Not suitable for families, couples, convention attendees.

Room was absolutely disgusting. Found bugs and smelt like fabulouso overbearingly.

The gentleman that checked us in announced to the lobby our room #, not that it would have been hard to figure out by watching us. The room was not ready, but they did work with us, the lady cleaning the bathroom area, and then coming back after we went out to continue cleaning. This seemed more like a long term housing area for many of the people staying there. There was dog poo in the courtyard area, people working on motorbikes, and kids running around in the courtyard till after 10pm. We ended up not staying the night here.

I am in the center of where hurricane Milton came through but Expedia was taking reservations for this hotel and when I got there he said he wasn't going to have any power until Friday, 4 days away. He had no computers. No way to check me in. I've tried to get a hold of Expedia over 12 times today to cancel this booking and could never get past their automated system. It would finally just hang up on me.
