Dålig service i frukosten. För lite personal,ingen som hälsade välkommen, serverade kaffe eller dukade ut. Kändes som en personalmatsal. Inte vad man kan förvänta sig av ett så fint hotell.

I can go on and on about this place having recently stayed for the third time in a year. Fell in love with Villa Copenhagen the first time and still love it just as much if not more now. Everything about this place is so special. The amazing staff, the most incredible pool and spa, the gym, the rooms, the food... I'm not sure how long a review can be because I could keep writing about this place forever. If you read this review before you, you'll know exactly what I mean.

I dont know if my expectations were too high, but this hotel turned out to be a very big disapppintment. There was not much to celebrate. First of all, the room was ok, quite small but thats not a reason to complain when booking a standard room. However, there was no water bottles in the room. Breakfast was self service, you find your table yourself and grab food from the buffet. You also get your glasses, plates etc yourself. Kind of like at school. Worst thing was parking. We called them 2x when we arrived, where can we park, because there is a large no stopping-sign in front of the lobby. There was no way to park anywhere near the front doors. No one new on the phone. The person on the phone had to ask someone, who did not know either. Then on second call we got info to drive around the block to a parking garage. We found the hotel logo, but the door would not open. We called them again and they said we need to back up a little and turn right, thats where their spots would be. We did exactly that and found 2 spots with their logo. The sign said ”park only with hotel certificate”, which we obviously did not have, as we just arrived. We then walked around the whole block (maybe 400 metres) with all our luggage (too many to handle by 2 people). We arrived in the lobby looking homeless, as we had so many luggage and bags hanging all over us. We straight away told the lobby person who checked us in about the parking situation, to comfirm our parking was ok. She said it should be ok, but she would take my phone number and email just in case, so she could contact me if it was not ok. Well after we checked out, I asked the staff if there was any easier way to walk to garage. There was not, was the reply. They however did say they have a valet service, and why did I not use it. I replied, I would have loved to use it, but no one said you have one, no one even new you had parking spots. No one was present in the garage from your staff. And there is no way parking in front of the main doors during arrival, how could I possibly have used the valet. Well we then walked to the car, only to find a 130€ ticket on the window for wrongful parking. I took the ticket to lobby and gave to staff. After some back and forth and guestioning my story, they took it and agreed to pay for it. Safe to say, this stay was a big disappointment. Also the lobby feels like a bar more than a hotel.

I had a really wonderful stay at Villa Copenhagen and would absolutely recommend it. What stood out the most was the service throughout the hotel. Everyone I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. A special thank you to Manuel at the Courtyard, Pernille at the front desk who truly helped me rescue my lost phone, the gentleman who checked me in and kindly granted me a much-needed late check-out, the lovely team at the pool, the cashier at RUG café, the girl who helped me buy a gift at the store, and the woman who helped me with my bags down the stairs. So many people made a positive impression, and that says a lot about the hotel. The room was great, everything was clean and comfortable, and the overall experience fully matched my expectations. Breakfast was also a highlight, especially as a vegan guest. I really appreciated the variety of vegan options available, which made me feel very looked after.

Location is excellent, opposite Tivoli and Station Atmosphere was very civilised Rooms, we had a small standard, but it was very clean, well appointed and comfortable bed. Not cheap (what is in Copenhagen?), but worth it for our needs and expectations There was no adverse noise Service was excellent throughtout - from reception, concierge and bar staff. Ameneties - it has a mid roof level swimming pool and bar - it was really good and in sunny weather was very popular. The heat of the pool allows it to be used in colder weather too. This was a serious upside for the hotel and our stay. We didn't try the downstairs breakfast, rather the "rug" cafe part - which was ok, but a bit confusing re the modus operandi. We ate outside most times, inc lunch and dinner. If/when we return, we will stay here again.

The location of the Villa Copenhagen was great. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We loved our stay. The room was comfortable and very clean. The restaurant was also very good. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool and sauna.

Spent a night here for our wedding anniversary this week. Standard room was small but gorgeous. Staff was approachable and very customer focussed. Breakfast was outstanding! Would definitely stay again.
