Guest House Foligno Porta Romana

The apartments were superb, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and ideally located just around the corner from the centro storico. They were perfect for our family group. Alessandro is the perfect host, prompt responses, so helpful, attending to every need. We absolutely loved staying here and can highly recommend Guest House Foligno Porta Romana.

Large, clean, modern room. Comfortable bed. Fantastic location close to bars, cafes and restaurants. Laundry facilities available.

Lack of natural light. No view of the outside, unfortunately no view at all. Frosted windows and room was facing interior facade of the building.

The apartment itself, was nicely decorated and very clean and the proximity to the main shopping street and old center of Foligno was great! There is a breakfast bar right across the street. I liked how it was on the top floor of the building and has a great view over the town. Also that the building is above a parking garage, which makes it convenient to leave your car very nearby. The size of the apartment is on the small size but perfectly comfortable for two people. We didn’t feel like we needed more space. The bed was comfortable and heating the place with inverter air conditioning worked quickly and kept us warm. The owner was very cordial and gave us plenty of recommendations on where to go for sightseeing and places to eat. He was very helpful.

There were only a couple of minor issues with the kitchen. There were no paper towels or napkins and there were 2 pans that cannot be used on the stove since it is an induction stove and you need the proper type pans for it. There was another pan or two that we could use for what we needed. Everything else we needed during our stay was in abundance, like towels and toilet paper. Otherwise, the accommodation is perfect!

Excellent location, 5 minutes to main square and self check in. Felt very secure. Gianluca very kind and friendly even drove me to Spoleto so I could explore this lovely hilltop town. Comfortable double bed. Good wifi

My room, Gardenia, was very compact but fine for 1 person. No natural light

The apartments are renovated and functional, and most importantly, very well located!

We had high hopes for our stay, but our first evening was marred by an unexpected issue with the apartment we booked. Upon arrival, we were given a different apartment and were initially told there was a problem with the bathroom. When we pointed out that the new apartment didn’t meet the standards we expected and lacked a living room, the story changed, and we were informed that we could move to the correct apartment the next day after some kitchen repairs were completed. To clarify, there was no miscommunication on our part as my partner is Italian, and all exchanges were conducted in Italian. This left us with the impression that our original apartment might have been rented to someone else. The first apartment they gave us, which I did not book, had a kitchen with no window, and, most importantly, we found a woman’s underwear in the closet (I have photos), which added to our discomfort. On the positive side, the management did make an effort to accommodate my need for a workspace by allowing me to use another apartment for an important video call the next morning, and they were friendly after the initial issue. However, having to change apartments during a two-night stay is far from ideal and took away from our time to discover the region. Overall, the new apartment was nice, but the mix-up and the way it was handled unfortunately cast a shadow over our stay.
