Very well kept, clean rooms and surroundings in the yard. You can see, that the couple who runs the place, really loves what they are doing. Excellent breakfast with self-made delicacies. Very quiet rooms also. You can lend rowing-boats or bicykles any time for free. Really recommend this place to anyone who likes privacy and quietness with excellent service!

Having traveled all over the world, it is a great surprise to land in this place. Everything surpasses our expectations. The scenery, right at the banks of a beutiful lake, the luxuary rooms, spotless clean, the friendly hosts, the quitetness for a great relaxation. Swimming in the clean lake. Chilling in the beautiful garden. This B&B is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Did a yoga weekend and it was perfect. Lovely historical buildings are decorated with excellent taste. Our apartment in the huvila building was huge and pretty. Great sauna, food and service. A super friendly and welcoming couple owns this place and takes good care of it. Very peaceful location by the nature but relatively close to the city. Loved this place and will most definitely come back! Kiitos aivan ihanasta viikonlopusta! Toivottavasti voimme palata pian.

Recently renovated property, both the room and the shared spaces were new and sparkling clean. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Peaceful and picturesque location by the lake, 15 min drive from Savonlinna. You can use the lakeside sauna with a private terrace for a small extra fee. Highly recommended!

B&B Taipaleenniemi is a beautiful small B&B (10 rooms) very recently fully renewed, and very nicely decorated. The B&B (premises consists of 1 main house and 2 other buildings next to it, surrounded by a nice garden, a private sand beach and a wooden pier) is located in the countryside, in front of a beautiful lake (Saimaa) - the views are fantastic (sunset time is not to be missed!). The atmosphere is calm, a lot of silence and peacefulness! It's a 15 min ride by car from Savonlinna and quite close to 2 national parks (Linnansaari and Kolovesi). Breakfast (homemade with lots of choices, fresh and very good products) is included (served from 8 to 10am in the main house). A very good homemade buffet dinner at a near B&B owned by the same family is possible (Lomamokkila - 10 min by car). The room we stayed in (Double Standard) was large (22m2 but felt much bigger), really nice with a great bathroom, and the bed was very comfy too. Everything was super clean. Strong Wi-Fi is available on the premises and rooms for free. A common fully equipped kitchen, a brand new sauna, BBQ facilities, a car parking and 3 rowboats are available on-site at no extra cost. The owner and manager (Kalle) is the kindest man, very friendly, fully fluent in English and very helpful for any bits of advice you would need about anything! We enjoyed our stay a lot and recommend the Taipaleenniemi B&B. Great value for money.

I have stayed in the B&B Taipaleenniemi during my journey through Southern Finland. Having just opened recently, the B&B had only few reviews. I decided to book the property for the same night. I did not have high expectations but I was quickly proven wrong as this stay would end up to be one of the highlights of my trip! Firstly, the location of the B&B is gorgeous: it is nestled in greenery directly at the lake which gives you the chance to truly relax after tiring (but beautiful ;-)) excursions and driving. The rooms are newly renovated and very generous in terms of space and furniture quality. There‘s also a kitchen and other equipments such as boats etc. that can be used by guests. Talking about kitchen... be assured that you wont be hungry for a while after the breakfast that you‘re being served in the morning - it was just super tasty. :-) The served pastries are freshly baked and you‘ll find everything you need to start a new day in beautiful Finland. The B&B is led by family Björn. Kalle‘s helpfulness and sense of hospitality were the cherry on top of this satisfactory stay - he ensured at all times that I do have everything to make my stay most enjoyable and memorable. Even after I checked out he messaged me a route proposal with a more scenic drive to return to Helsinki. If I return to this part of Finland, I would 100% book a stay in the B&B Taipaleenniemi again. This B&B is an authentic and hidden gem in all aspects :-)
