"Good and not so good deal"

The house looks like a rich family's house with all the charm that it must've had back in the older days. I liked the wide open spaces inside and the balconies with view of the river. I did like the price considering the location in the middle of town.

Unfortunately, the house looks run down with a serious lack of maintenance. The bathroom in room 28 is terrible and well below minimum standards. Will OYO ever invest in this property?

"Bad"

The hotel was old and dated, it looks as if it was nice 20 years ago but they haven't renovated it. There was holes in the roof, and everything was dirty. I checked out after the first night.

"nice staff, inconvenient neighbours"

The staff at the Reddoorz were kind, helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond. Unfortunately the room was very dirty. The inside of the toilet was black with mould, and none of the electrical outlets worked. There is also a nearby mosque who loudspeakers every service. Instead of the normal one minute call to prayer that can be heard all over Indonesia, you overhear a full forty minutes- loud enough that I was awoken every night I stayed there from 3:30 am to about 4:10 am. If you are intending to attend the morning service this would be a very good place to stay but if that is not part of your schedule it is a challenge.
