Days Inn by Wyndham Ocean Shores

Site and room in poor condition: Rust, doors didn’t close right, and scalding hot water. Trashes around facility full. Housekeeping and handyman were arguing with front desk about “not being paid and no contracts.” The pool had no towels for guests and two chairs for the whole swim area. Staff at the front desk did not arrive on time many days to open breakfast and swimming area. They were not nice to guests. Worse experience at a hotel in a long time.

Rooms were clean

Outside was unkept around the rooms and stairs.

Staff was friendly, check-in was easy and painless. We felt welcomed and wanted. The room was clean and comfortable. Windows need to be washed, not that they matter much with the tree blocking any sort of a view, but it did make for ultimate privacy while listening to the ocean. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was sad. No protein options except for lukewarm yogurt. The coffee was cold and had that several-days-old flavor. Waffle irons were dirty, with no tools to clean them off for use near by. Breakfast and the tiny-child sized pillows were our only complaints. They get to tell you there's four pillows on the bed, but you need 3 to make up 1 standard size pillow.

The facility was very pet friendly. The staff were friendly and very professional.

We got in early so se decided to go to the hotel to see where it was and check it out. When I walked in I just said “hi We’re checking in at 3 o’clock we are early but will be back” the lady then said “you can’t check in till 3 o’clock” and I said “I know we’re just coming here to check it out and we’ll be back at 3pm” I also let her know that I had a small dog and she said in a rude attitude did you check our pet policy? I replied yes it’s $25. she never got up out of her chair. She sat the whole time and she gave me attitude and rolled her eyes at me. When we came back at 3 o’clock to check in there was a man who checked me in I’ll let him know that we had a dog. He said thank you for letting me know and then he charged me $50. I said we only had one dog and he’s like oh that’s right I’ll refund you the $25 when you check out. So I was a little irritated about that but whatever I let it go. He then put us in a room on the second floor with no AC and when we are walking outside, you can see all four rooms and the three rooms next to us All had AC units but ours. It was so hot in there. There was not even a fan thank God we brought a small fan.at night time we went to the car and we saw another car with like homeless people sitting in it RIFHT NEXT TO OUR CAR , mind you the whole parking lot is open. There is two other cars there. I told my husband that it looked suspicious and then he didn’t even think anything about it and then he started thinking about it and he started getting a little worried so he went downstairs to talk to the man who checked us in and he said that he would go talk to the people and see what they were doing . About 45 minutes goes by and we are still out there. I went out to go check and then my husband went out to go check, but we didn’t confront them or anything and then like an hour later they had left. They also followed us back to the hotel from The dollar store and did it again! This place was super sketchy, the lobby was dirty etc

Limited selection of breakfast items (some that were still frozen and others that were stale). Hardwood floors that were sandy that was easily into the bed linens, minor difficulties in checking in through the stay ,was rushed on checkout(left the room for a short while before checkout time ,to return to find room already being cleaned, as I had already checked out (hadn't)

Location and free breakfast

Roll out bed was broken and the garbage bin for the hotel was filled and had a horrible smell that was noticeable inside our hotel room the entire trip.
