DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Cod - Hyannis

Beautiful property, great staff but as you open the door to the room the odor of sewerage coming from the bathroom it’s horrible.

Unfortunately, my party of six (two adjoining rooms) had a disappointing stay at this property.The hotel could use a remodel. The carpets are dingy and the first floor of the property had water damage and smelled of mildew. The doors are hollow and you can hear everything from the hall in your room. The pool did not have towels and the towels that we fetched from the front desk were thread bare. The front desk staff were not helpful (told us that they were unfamiliar with the area because they had no time off) not accommodating and bordering on rude. The hotel is within walking distance to Main Street with restaurants and shops but you have to walk down a street of parking lots and by the train station that has panhandlers. The hotel restaurant was good and the rooms were clean.

Room smelt like mold, cobwebs throughout the room didn’t matter where you went in the building it just smelt musty. Photos of the place are not at all what it looked like in person. Good location for what we had planned but even staying in the room just for the night was unbearable and we left a day early. When asking if we could checkout early front desk employee didn’t even ask what was wrong just said yes and that was that. No refund because “the maids went home for day and can’t clean.”

A very nice hotel. Front desk staff were extremely nice and helpful. There was a really nice outdoor seating area with a huge firepit. There was a bar in the lobby with a seating area and fireplace. This hotel was within walking distance to some local stores and eating places, but really nothing to do close by. There is an indoor and outdoor pool.

Very tired looking hotel to the point of shabby - especially for the over inflated price. Layout very rambling, have to walk ages to your room and multiple sets of stairs make it not very accessible (esp with luggage). Staff were pleasant enough though. Overall - disappointing.

The room was very humid and smelled. When we asked the front desk if there is anything that could be done, they were very dismissive about it. Instead of offering to switch rooms/ any other solution all they did was advise us to turn ac on. We had some other questions to the front desk and overall customer service was terrible. Again all the answers were dismissive. It sounded like they were unhappy to be there and we didn’t feel welcome there. For the price we paid ~$300-350 per night (because we left early) it’s completely not worth it. Breakfast not included, staff is unwelcoming and the room smelled. We witnessed other guests to be treated similarly. So we do not recommend that place.

The staff is so so nice. All went well Just needs a refresh

Little bit pricey, but clean, nice atmosphere and front desk staff was really helpful and courteous. Missed the last ferry to Nantucket, so we had to spend the night.
