We loved the Heritage Hotel though in one of our rooms the refrigerator had black mold in it

What i didn't like was when I reported the black mold to Liz found in the refrigerator at the front desk her first remark to me was did you call the front desk. We found tge black mold after dinner @ 9pm when we went to put our dinner leftovers in the room fridge. I wish her initial remark was we apologize for the inconvenience we've caused you.

Everything is always wonderful

I absolutely loved that the front desk upgraded my room for me from a King to an Executive Suite when they found out that it was my birthday. The suite was not far from the indoor pool and jacuzzi which I used a great deal. I absolutely loved the mattress in the bedroom - soooo cozy! And the room itself was just so nice for one traveler. The little kitchenette in the Executive Suite made me feel like I was staying in my own apartment! As someone who is a caregiver and spends very little time alone, it was great to have my own space and be able to spread out. There was one little issue with the AC unit in the living room area, but a technician came out right away and fixed it. The hotel itself is just beautiful and the coffee they serve? Some of my favorite coffee!

I was not a fan of the heavy doors on the bathrooms in the room. The door on the main bathroom in the bedroom was so heavy that you could not prop it open. I like to be able to walk in and out of the bathroom easily, and with that heavy door you could not do that. The room itself also was not well lit, particularly the living room area. There was no light near the kitchenette or near the television, so all in all it was rather dark. I have some challenges seeing in low lighting, and didn't love that feature of the living room area. I did mention this to the front desk staff when I left, and they thought someone might have moved the lights in the room. I think that track lighting about the kitchenette area would solve that problem. And there should be something close to where the TV was in that room too. Also, there were no garbage pails in the living room or in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. Some of the furniture in the living and bedroom looked kind of worn, but it was real wood which I loved. And the carpeting in the hallway leading up to my room looked visibly worn in some spots. But I'm not complaining...just think that some tweaks would make the entire trip better for some! There could also have been more light near the dining area as I got room service. And the restaurant staff were lovely when I ordered room service. But the room service menu on the hotel website is outdated and I had to order on the fly on the phone. Some more options for those that are gluten free would be great!

It was our second visit to the hotel. Clean room, comfy space. The pool great as usual. Personal so kind and welcoming. Kids love it, we had such a great quality family time!
