Comfort Inn Grand Rapids Airport

Sai at reception was very courteous and helpful. Rest, hotel was not very clean. Room chair was damaged. Was provided balcony upgrade after toilet was not working. However there was no chair or furniture to use balcony.

At check-in, clerk sniffled, rubbed her nose then handed us door keys!! Decor is dingy Hall way carpets were dirty-looking and stained; ditto for the room which smelled of smoke and wet-dog. External window didn't have screen, bathroom didn't look fully cleaned. I was afraid to touch any surface. Upside: the bed was wonderful. However, if it hadn't been 2am at check-in and my husband was exhausted from a long drive -- I would have left immediately.

Like the name says- it was Comfortable. It was also clean and had good service. Have stayed here before and would stay here again.

the staff

This is not a well maintained property. Parking area asphalt cracked and falling apart. Front entrance needs power washing. Front entrance has debris, over flowing trash, loose landscape rocks asll over. Landsacpe mainenance was sloppy. Place doesnt smell very good or fresh inside. Carpeted areas look dirty. The furinture in the rooms are just nicked and beat up. Chairs have worn out seating. Pictures missing from some walls. My guess is that the owners have no idea where to begin and the cost of upgrading is beyond them.

Fine place for a night's sleep

The room had red stains on the floor between the beds. The electrical sockets and lights between the bed and windows did not work. Saturday morning breakfast was cold because the power was out in that area too.

The location of the property was great. Some things looked tired in the room. I wish you had sent me this review like right after my stay and not a month and a half after my stay so I could’ve told you specifically what was wrong.

There were noisy guests running up and down the hall at 1 AM and when I tried to call the front desk, no one would answer the phone. I was finally able to get a hold of somebody after being woke up for the third time at 2:30 in the morning to complain about the noise. The noise continued until about 4:30 in the morning when I called again. When I said something at the front desk when I was checking out, the guest service representative said they would check videos to see who was causing all the noise. But did not offer any sort of compensation or anything for the disturbance that happened. Reason I was calling at 1 AM was because someone had actually tried to enter my room or slammed into my room the door and woke me up. I sleep very deep and for me to get woke up. It was a hard hit on the door. And then the constant running up and down the hallway and them smacking doors and walls was ridiculous.

The property was ok given the price. However Expedia overcharged me $450 while I paid $311. Expedia did wrong and I should never use it again.
