The Millcroft Hotel

With the exception of the barman... the friendliest staff you could hope to meet. Comfortable, practical rooms with good sea views from the front. Small double beds were comfortable but too small for us. Tangled christmas lights ( August?) and plastic table coverings with animal prints did nothing to compliment the good food in the restaurant. Old and uncomfortable bench seating in restaurant would be more inkeeping with a saloon bar. Overall the staff and manager are the stars of this hotel.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff.

Had a seaview room, and it was lovely to sit there and watch the light go in the evening. Condiments with the evening meal would be better served in a dish, with a better quality product. Coffee in the morning was not proper coffee - a disappointment.

The mattress was really used I mean it is really up for a change. The coffee tasted like water. Good portion of food, nice breakfast, extremely friendly staff. I would say little overpriced and the mattress should be changed.

A nice stay at a small hotel. Definitely worth paying for the sea view which was beautiful despite the misty weather. Small room but big enough for what we needed. Meals were fine, we had dinner and breakfast, both were adequate

The hotel was nice and clean. My room was clean . And well presented, my breakfast, was well cooked and a nice view Whist eating my breakfast

The hotel was lovely and our room was spot on. Everything was clean and in good repair. Our ‘sound and vision’ technicians were very helpful and breakfast was a super surprise. Would definitely recommend. Extremely disappointing and stressful check-in but everything else made up for it.

Disappointing to dreadful. This was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed at during our recent holiday in Scotland, but certainly the worst. The room was only ok, although smelt a little damp, the towels were frayed and there was a footpath just outside so wasn't as private as we would have liked. The access through a one- way outside service corridor was weird, not what you expect from a Hotel at this price to say the least. Cosy and welcoming it was not..... . The main hotel was shabby and dated. The food was dreadful, overcooked and salty. With the exception of one friendly waitress the customer service was non existent. Would not recommend.

The hotel is well positioned with lovely views over the loch. Check in was done efficiently. I was surprised by our room as it was like a self catering chalet with its own kitchen and little sitting room. A little disappointed that the tv was on the sitting room with none in the bedroom. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. There was an on site bar and restaurant. We had dinner once and breakfast twice. The food was ok but nothing special. The staff were very accommodating though and organised breakfast on our second morning for 7.45 instead of 8. All in all an ok stay with bits of greatness.
