Fairfield Inn by Marriott Forsyth Decatur

It was okay. The check in went well. The office chair was broken. In the morning a guy in a uniform knocked on my door. I couldn't u nderstand what he was saying. I opened the door and still couldn't understand what he was saying. Then he said a different thing - that I didn't understand and he walked away.

Staff was very nice, location was great, price was good

No fridge or microwave, specifically booked for the hot tub….it was broke, shower was not cleaned…there was hair all through it and on one of the little shelves there was a pile hair from a razor. They did offer to move our room but we were already settled in for the night. Phone in the room doesn’t work to call the front desk.

Customer service was exceptional! The breakfast food selection could’ve been better. Everything else in the hotel is updated, that elevator carpet looks hideous.

Hope you like marijuana smoke. Hotel itself isn’t horrible, but they don’t seem to care whether disruptive people stay there. Lots of pot smoking going on in the rooms. Manager was offended when I complained about it. It’s on the same level as those hotels that rent rooms by the hour.

I have stayed here for years and have never had a bad experience. Many time just in this past year. Unfortunately they have new management (two weeks before this last stay) due to the unfortunate death of the previous manager of 10 years. My condolences to the staff… I opened the microwave after my 5th night of an 8 night stay. October 4 to October 12. Very gross substance in the microwave. Looked like an animal. Night manager tried to remove it but when it jiggled, she closed the door quickly. She took a photo and wanted me to show the day manager. The day manager wouldn’t look and said it looked really bad in the photo and probably worse in person. The day manager said it was her fault because she was the last to inspect the room. I was right by the elevator on the first floor and close to the front desk right across from the vending machines, Room 104. If the substance was mold, it would have had to have been there for months. This is unacceptable. I have higher standards for Fairfield Inn by Marriott.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable room, with well maintained facilities........only drawback is that the whirlpool hot tub is out of order. We will be staying here again in the future.

Perfect! Greeted by a wonderful lady at the front desk. Gave us a quiet room. Comfy! Fabulous breakfast. Cage free scrambled eggs.
