No breakfast, inadequate supply of milk, no human contact of any sort.

Location Location Location! Bathroom was modern and clean with excellent shower. Secure entry and easy to enter using security pin pad.

The room was quite small and a sofa at the foot of the bed made it even tighter for space.

Very good location close to beaches, main streets, shops, restaurants. For St Andrews pretty good value, room had a kettle and tea/coffee, bed was comfortable; internet worked well; enough power points to charge kit; useful desk and chair; good mirror; bathroom was right next door and worked fine, shower worked well.

The room's door closes on the latch - if you ever went out without the key you would be locked out of the room. If you need to pee in the night, you need the key. Room faces the road and soon after midnight some club finishes and the crowd leaving are very noisy; also early morning seagull serenade. Room at the top of three flights of stairs and of course no lift: if you had mobility issues this could be a problem. Just big enough for one person - it is indeed a single and as clearly stated, not en-suite. No breakfast in the building - when it is available it is apparently in a nearby café which at this po9nt was closed. Parking is an issue (typical of St Andrews) - there is a pay carpark round the corner but not sure how long you can leave a car there for, or its cost - I parked 15 mins away

The location is perfect, and the room is warm and very comfortable.Everything was spotless. The shower was excellent, and good toiletries provided. Ilya responded extremely fast to our questions. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Doune House.

Everything was good
