"Incorrect room, rude check-in clerk, nice pool and breakfast"

Booked it for the pool and free breakfast. Both of which were basic, but on point. Also liked the location; easy 10-min walk to Brooklyn Basin restaurants like Brotzeit Lokal, Zocalo Coffee, and Lumpia Company. Short car ride to Lake Merritt, Chinatown, etc. However, we had a bad time at check-in, where staff tried to upsell us on a waterfront room in a tasteless manner, and we were harassed in the pool. So, if you are traveling with kids, this might not be the spot for you. Additionally, the king beds are not actually king beds, so if you are booking (and paying for) a king room, confirm the size at check-in. I honestly think we got a queen-sized bed even though we paid for a king. Either they are lying about the bed sizes or their staff might give you the wrong room even if you paid for a king. You decide what is worse.

"Well maintained property in a bad area"

Very clean, looked fancy, security walking around, everything worked

Had to knock on glass because I got locked out, staff was not very friendly, ghetto people walking right outside where the cars were parked, windows extremely thin, making sleeping hard due to traffic. Also did not know I had to pay a $20 parking fee on top of my $160 reservation.

Staff verry unprofessional they cant charge a digital card im PERSON BUT THEY CAN CHARGE ON LINE THEY WOULD NOT LET ME CHECK IN PROBLEM READING THE CARD BUT THEY SURE DID NOT HAD A PROBLEM CHARGING FOR THE FULL NIGHT I HAVE MULTIPLE CARDS DIGITAL AND THESE IS TGE FIRST TIME A MEDIOCRE HOTEL DEMANDS A PHYSICAL CARD ITS 2026 keep up with the rest of the world i need my refund back
