An older hotel that could use some updates, but for the money it is well worthwhile. The rooms are large and beds were good.👍 The continental breakfast is great, the staff there are excellent!

The hotel is aged with the fixtures and finishing but overall in really great shape. When checking in the gentlemen at the front desk was exceptional, upgraded our room for us from a deluxe king to a king suite. The interior layout and amenities at the hotel are unique and honestly a blast from the past, nostalgic in the sense that it brought me back to my younger years when hotles like this were more common-cool place. And as previously mentioned in great shape and we will definitely stay again when in town hopefully with more time to check out the casino and other amenities.

We had supper and breakfast at rhe hotel, the staff was great from a service perspective and the prime rib was delicious, the other sides and breakfast buffet could use some work.

Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food options, staff was amazing- they were constantly cleaning the tables, taking our empty plates.

This hotel needs renos. Carpets are dirty and old, the hallways are so smelly; you can’t keep things properly clean because everything is just old.

We had an awesome May long-weekend stay! We knew it was going to either rain or snow and we were fortunate to be able to book a trip to Medicine Hat and enjoy this gem of a place. Of course many reviews state the property is dated, poorly maintained, etc. but we went anyway and it did not disappoint. Our kids loved the waterslide and although it was a long weekend, the place wasn't overrun by kids so the girls got to go on the slides as many times as they wanted for three days in a row! The buffet breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff was great! We enjoyed chatting with the hostess both mornings and also appreciated the fact that they have pet friendly rooms as we were able to bring our pups. We had dinner at R Kitchen one night and the prime rib special was exceptional! Great bang for your buck... Our server Davi was also super attentive. We were happy to hear from one of the staff that the property was under new ownership and that significant investment was being made to restore it to its glory days. We can't wait to visit again once the facelift is completed. We really enjoyed it here.

The location was good, amenities like the casino, lounge and texts informed us of which entertainment was available was nice.

I found it a little off putting that so many rooms face the pool (ours didn’t have any outside windows just the pool view), but so did the elevator- so every person entering the hotel can view your children swimming. The only way to get to the freezing. Cold pool is through the main lobby, next to the dinning. The bathrooms weren’t renovated. Fixtures were rusty, the walls and doors had visible stains or food on them. All the furniture was significantly dinged up, even the chairs in the restaurant all had leather peeling off.
