Great place. Gorgeous small village. Right on the middle of the alps. Amazing stay. Super friendly staff. Great restaurant

Die Architektur des Hotels ist beeindruckend. Das Historische ist weitgehend erhalten oder sanft renoviert. Ausser unser Zimmer auf die Bergseite hätte ein Update nötig, vor allem da Badezimmer. Sehr feines Essen und sehr freundliches Personal. Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig.

The hotel is a nice historic old building, my room was a single and fairly basic but comfortable. The breakfast is really great, lots of local products and the breads are so fresh and nice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Dinner in their restaurant is very recommended.

A few more pillows in the single rooms so you can sit comfortably in the bed. Just one pillow made it impossible to sit up in the bed to read or watch TV.

Beautiful premises (except for our shabby room and the depressing breakfast area). full of history. A very decent restaurant. Overall friendly staff (not everyone speaks english). Excellent location between Splügen and San Bernardino passes. Although that goes hand in hand with hand with s lot of traffic noise coming from the highway.

Rooms are very outdated. We were first offered a very smelly (sewer?) room, but the next room smelled alright. However, it had fungus in the bathroom. See picture. We booked a standard double. According to booking.com it comes with a walk-in shower AND a bath. The smelly room only had a bath, the other one only a shower. The promised ‘garden view’ turned out to be a narrow alley. See picture. We expected much more, also given the overall state of of the premises.

Zwar sehr altes, aber immer noch hervorragend geführtes Hotel mit phantastischem Service, super nett und zuvorkommend. Wird 2025 renoviert (Badezimmer sind schon sehr alt), dann auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert!
