Grafton Beach Resort

My overall experience here was great. Breakfast was tasty and consistent every single morning. Service was great staff is friendly and always willing to assist, however place does seem a bit rundown. They gave us a room very far from the lobby in which the air condition was not functional. I had to request to be moved to another room which they did. My only hope for this hotel is that they try to renovate some areas to enhance its visual appeal. Other than that everything was great.

My recent stay at Grafton Beach Resort was disappointing. The room was far from clean, with noticeable stains in the sinks on the floor and holes in the sheets. Phones desk and closet was dusty. I did not want to take my shoes off! Furthermore, the staff at the front desk were unhelpful and seemed disinterested in resolving my issue with the room service. I was also disturbed by the outdated amenities, including a bathroom with leaky pipes. Overall, my experience was not up to the standards. I was able to speak with the manager who was helpful and accommodated me to the sister as property next door.

It is an old property in need of renovation. It enjoys a great location on the seafront and that adds to the overall experience-especially when the sea is calm. The staff is quite courteous.

I had a really good experience and I would definitely visit again. The breakfast was very tasty, loved the access to the beach and waking up to the sound of the waves crashing every morning. Check in was seamless and lots of gorgeous beaches and places to visit are nearby.

Walking distance to the beach, tranquil and beautiful seaview, ansolutely amazing breakfast buffee.

At check, the front desk agent was really professional and and gave the best customer sericw - also too the waitstaff at breakfast. Other than that - this property is dates has not changed since i last visited in 2009. The room was musty - the tiles around the pool has moss build up and broken - the property is in dyer need of some TLC. The location is ideal but the hotel is really run down....did not enjoy it at all.

Great service and attention! Will definitely return with my family again.

My stay was great but the facilities need an upgrade

I stayed at Grafton Beach Resort from April 20–23, 2025, and it was hands down one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Despite booking through Expedia and being charged in full at check-in, I was forced to change rooms three times due to serious maintenance and hygiene issues. Room 1: The door wouldn’t close properly—an obvious safety risk. Room 2: The bathroom was rusted, stained, and clearly not cleaned to a sanitary standard. Room 3: Hair was left in the sink, shower, and on the toilet. The refrigerator door wouldn’t close, leading to water leaking on the floor—an accident waiting to happen. I stayed one night only because my child and I arrived late and had no other immediate option. Despite raising these issues with the on-site supervisor, who promised to escalate it to management, no solution was provided. Expedia also attempted to intervene, but the hotel refused to issue even a partial refund, hiding behind a rigid cancellation policy. Calls to the front desk went unanswered after I checked out. This is not the standard anyone should accept—especially at a beachfront property that’s supposed to represent the beauty of Tobago. Is this how the island wants to be remembered by its visitors? Sadly, Grafton Beach Resort was a complete letdown, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Do better.
