Parking good. Position good. Railway carriage unusual.

Awful weather so accept not going to see it in its best light but felt the area around and under the carriages could have been tidied up a lot and made more attractive. Looked like a derelict siding. Steps up to carriages very small, worn and messy. Our door was stiff and awkward. Think our mattress was nearing the end of its service. Very unhappy to receive furry strawberries at breakfast...and a selection of the last 2 pastries! Mediocre fried breakfast on just warmed plates with rubbery poached eggs. Toast not warm and tasted stale. Very underwhelmed. Tea was by far the best thing. Think it was overpriced.

"An interesting and quirk place. Loved it."

A really interesting, quirky and special place. We stayed in a Pullman 'room' which was comfortable, warm and cosy. The carriage had been converted brilliantly and retained its historic features. The station building also had been converted/renovated to a high standard and again retained historic references, tastefully done. Breakfast, cooked 'just for you' was excellent and was eaten in the old waiting room which had a lovely ambiance. Highly recommended if you want something different and if you have any interest in steam railways, you'll love it.

"A lovely relaxing break"

Quirky, and full of charm.

Chairs in railway carriage were not very comfortable. Private road to property had lots of pot holes.

Loved the quirkiness of sleeping in a railway carriage. And it was lovely and quiet. Very convenient for walks on the South Downs and Petworth park. Delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend

We liked the accommodation but booked afternoon tea for 4 people the spread wasn't quite what i expected for £25pp with no prosseco that had to be purchased separately very minimal couldn't really justify £128 in total for 1 sandwich each x2 scones 2 very small cakes and a tiny jam jar pot of chocolate mouse and tea/coffee
