Bayside Inn Key Largo

The location is at the beginning of the Keys, closer to Miami, if you prefer staying somewhere that is not too deep into the Florida Keys.

Our stay at this hotel in Key Largo was very disappointing from the moment we arrived. We arrived around 4 PM and went to the front desk to check in. While we were standing there, we saw the receptionist, whose name I believe was Estasy, very politely asking the guests in front of us whether they wanted pool towels. She gave towels to them without any issue. However, when it became our turn and we asked for pool towels, her attitude completely changed. She told us there were no towels available because they were “in the dryer” and asked us to come back after one hour. We politely asked whether room service could deliver them later to our room, but she refused and said she was the only employee working. A few moments later, less than two minutes after I went to the car to get some belongings, I personally saw her give two pool towels to another guest who asked for them. When I questioned her about this, she changed her explanation and claimed she only had one towel left even though we clearly saw her provide towels to another guest. This behavior felt unfair, disrespectful, and discriminatory. Unfortunately, the problems continued with our room assignment. Even though our Booking.com reservation clearly showed a room with two beds, we were given the wrong room with only one bed. After carrying all of our luggage upstairs to the second floor and settling in after a long day of traveling, we realized the mistake and had to return to the front desk. At first, the receptionist responded rudely and dismissively, saying, “I don’t care about that, I will check the system.” After checking, she admitted the mistake and apologized, but we then had to move all of our luggage again from the second-floor room to another room on the first floor. After an exhausting day of travel, this was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. In addition, the beach area was much smaller than expected, and the sand and water were full of algae, making swimming unpleasant.

Nice Hotel, great location, close to many restaurants, and a Walgreens across the street. However, without the Snooks, I believe it wouldn't be that attractive...

Small pool, not enough shades on the beach, Low water pressure in the room.

The front desk staff was great, helping us as late arrivals. LOVED the bikes and paddle boards and spot right on the water. It was super clean.

The only thing was the air freshener in the room and a few of the towels had holes, not a deal breaker.
