Great Lake Motel Taupo

Over the road from the lake, and so close to everything. But the wonderful friendly welcome really sealed the deal. We will be back.

Our family booked a one night stay at Great Lake Motel, Taupo. We selected this motel as it was close to Restaurants and Bars etc. We were disappointed in the Room, as it was obvious no basic maintenance (Painting) had been done for some time. A large bare patch on main room wall was very obvious. Our son found an empty liquor bottle under one on the beds in the 2nd bedroom. Over priced $215.00 for night. Would not use se the Motelier again, we are regular visitors to Taupo.

We chose this for the location, being easy walking distance to many restaurants and I was so impressed with the cleanliness! The sink was shining so much you could see your reflection, the spa bath and shower pristine and the coffee cups and wine glasses were spotless. The staff were very friendly, the bed was comfortable and the area was relatively quiet. I highly recommend and it will be our accommodation of choice next time we are in Taupo.

This hotel had everything you look for location ,cleanliness ,comfortable beds and a great host. The hotel was walking distance to restaurants and town central. As you walk out of the drive the lake is other side of the road. Aircontioning was quiet the room was modern and clean .The room had a spa pool included in price. The shower had great pressure. A big thanks to Ling and staff for providing a great clean place for us to stay.
