Great Lake Motel Taupo

Nice and central to everything We have stayed here before. Bed was a bit soft for us and the couch was quite uncomfortable to lie on. Apart from that it was pretty good.

We recently stayed at the Great Lake Motel Taupo for three nights with our family, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the lake and close to great cafes, restaurants, and shops. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, modern amenities, and a functional kitchenette. It was the perfect setup for our family. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests and offering great local recommendations. Parking was convenient, and the overall atmosphere of the motel was warm and welcoming. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the Great Lake Motel Taupo to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Taupo. We’ll definitely be back!

Good location, clean and friendly staff

Booked two nights for the location easy walking distance to many good place to eat or grab a drink, so 5 stars for location, room was good all we could ask for clean and neat. 3 things we normally look for when booking a motel, location (tick) cleanliness (tick) service, basic here's your key do you want milk park your car here. Not ascertain had we been here before pointed out to do whats on in town at the moment the difference between good and adequate service. Unfortunately seems more and more the case in N.Z. now days and lets not blame COVID. Would be happy to stay again service or lack of difference between 4 and 5 star.

Great location for town, restaurants and lake. Friendly and helpful hosts. Rooms clean and tidy. Easy parking.

The lication cannot be beat across from lake just off the restaurant strip. Spacious rooms I lost my necklace. They found. Gave back. Stored luggage a few hours

Had a pleasant stay at this complex which is just over the road from the lake, with excellent views down the lake. By exiting the back entrance to the complex, you were very close to restaurants and shops. Very clean and tidy, with everything you require..
