Hotel Carmel

I like the location very much! And the easy access to the metro station in downtown Santa Monica which is good for people who don’t have a car! Very much enjoyed this place.

It was central located with easy access to the beach and all shopping areas.

Was very close to csulb long beach and student discount pulled me away from the chain hotels!

The staff at the front desk were very accommodating

Overall, we had a good stay. Upon arrival, we were initially placed in a room with a faulty air fan and broken AC. After bringing this to the staff’s attention, they promptly moved us to a more comfortable room. While the hallways could use some extra attention to cleanliness, the staff made up for it with their friendliness and accommodating service.

Amazing location, friendly staff, room and bad are very clean. The only suggestion is full length mirror and some hooks in the bathroom would really help, but it doesn’t change my rating.

The staff is amazing the rooms are so clean and quiet I love the fatmers matket down the street on Wednesday and Saturday… walkable to everything I wanted .. has the quaintness of old world beach hotel charm with a lovely touch of class

Property was nice and the staff friendly. Parking is a nightmare in the area and the poor valet was swamped but did a great job.

I would give the staff 5 /5 but the place need a lot of renovation. Entrance, Lobby, stairs, carpet, people (guests) 0/5. The room I would give it 3/5. Bedsheets 1/5. My husband got bit already by bedbugs on the 2-3 hours that we stayed. And since this hotel was build since 1948 i believed, my husband start coughing, since he has Pulmonary problem. We asked for extra sheets, we are given old yellowish sheets with blood in it that is supposed to be white sheets. The great this is the staff are very considerate to give us a refund of our stay and cancelled. Ended up going home. We were supposed to go to a wedding the following day but end up going home. As my children got scared as well on how the hotel look like. And on the way down of the hotel. My children saw 2 naked men came out of one room and went across the other room. Inspire of bad experience of the hotel. I do give the staff 5/5

The hotel is in a great location the valet parking is great we had a street room and was very noisy needs to be soundproofed and maybe a refurb
