Location to the airport

We arrived at the hotel about 5:40 p.m. waited to check in when the front desk attendant said we’d have wait because our room wasn’t ready. We had flown about ten hours and were exhausted. She said she would have to go talk to the manager, off she went, about twenty plus minutes later she came back upset saying that she couldn’t find the manager or anyone that spoke English. Within a couple more minutes a lady walks up to the desk, she goes off on her saying I’ve been calling you and couldn’t find you anywhere. The other front desk woman says just give them room 209. What in the world……? Why had we been standing there for over 25 minutes? Our bed was so ? Old when you sat down in sank almost half way to the floor. The bedside plug ins do not work. So, charging your devices was a challenge. Couldn’t sit on the bench for a shower as the bench was under the bathroom sink and had to bed installed. Very frustrating and disappointing stay. This was our first stay at a “Sonesta”

Non existent customer service. Don’t book here - or with Booking.com - if you need the hotel folio for an expense report. Have sent 2 messages to hotel, called their desk and customer service line 4 times, and asked for a folio when I checked out in the first place. They tell me to contact Booking since I booked thru them. Booking tells me I have to contact the hotel. Bookings service is possibly even worse. Their 800# is now a bot. I was disconnected no fewer than 3 times trying to reach a human and the human I reached I could barely understand and she was useless, telling me I had to get the info from the hotel. Neither entity can figure it out and neither seems to care. The hotel itself is old and dumpy and no sound proofing. I had a terrible nights sleep. Wouldn’t stay there again under any circumstances and will not ever stay at another Sonesta branded hotel after this fiasco. The fact I can’t get a receipt is just adding insult to injury. Avoid at all costs!!!
