Super gezellige host

The entire experience was perfect for our stay in the Scwartzwald (Black Forest). The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view on our balcony of the surrounding verdant hillsides. The breakfast was filling with boiled eggs, cereal, locally baked breads, coffee drink selection, yogurt, cheeses and the most delicious Black Forest Ham we have had. If you are from the US, what we call Black Forest Ham is embarrassing by comparison. Our hosts Kathrin and Eric were attentive and accommodating with one of the best recommendations ever (go to Tubingen!). Heads up to American Travelers, traditional German bedding does not feature a top sheet, only a fitted sheet and covered duvet. Kathrin was very accommodating to bring us empty duvet covers when we got too hot. The location is outstanding, within walking distance to great restaurants (go to Tomahawk if you love grilled meats) and downtown (the walk is beautiful with footpaths and stone steps throughout the village, manicured gardens and a waterfall along the way. Don't miss the sauna, which was amazing in the cold weather and features an infrared back treatment chair that felt great. While we did think we saw an imp at the local cemetery around dusk, the hotel is quite secure and no werewolves got us the entire time!

The guesthouse was very cosy and well located in the lovely town of Baiersbrunn, you feel you are right in the middle of the black forest area here. The welcome by the hosts was very warm and were always extremely helpful with questions and in perfect English. Their son helped us map a nice route through the middle of the black forest (Thank you for that). The location has all modern modcons and the balcony in the room looked out to a beautiful picture postcard view of the black forest They have nice local and artistic touches throughout the property and the nearby restaurants were very good, some within 3 minutes walk. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning.

Het was koel in de slaapkamers. De bedden waren goed. Goede parkeerplekken. Vriendelijke eigenares. Uitzicht op bergen.

Erg veel decoratie. Ook bij de ramen. Jammer van het uitzicht.

Gute Lage. Mitten im Dorf. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Innenpool.

Überall zu viel Nippes, etwas angestaubt.
