Das Frühstücksbüffet war um 8:45 Uhr schon ziemlich abgegriffen und wurde dann nur noch spärlich aufgefüllt.

Location was good, close to city center, price was ok, even considering the otherwise quite poor facilities. In the end it was workable for our purposes as motorcyclist touring the environment, but wouldnt recommend for a more... serious and relaxation focussed stay.

NO PARKING! Be aware you cant leave your car/motorcycle there all day, max 3 hours! Advertised with private parking which was important for us, that is clearly a lie, as they immediately told us they didnt have it, or rather only had 2 places reserved for staff.... The only parking nearby is paid and public with a 3h limit during day hours. It worked out for us as we were touring with our motorcycles all day so could park for free during the night. Still, annoyed about the false advertising. Included breakfast was workable, but very limited, it wasnt very busy, but seems like it would run out quick, additionally only a few options. Noise isolation is terrible, a feature of the old building, you can hear everything, people talking almost comprehensibly from neighbouring rooms. What was even worse was the lack of propper dimming curtains, the room was ablaze with light from 6am, with no way to stop it. This had a bad impact on our sleep. Temperature was cool to start since when we arrived temps were still low, but as it got hotter the lack of AC became an issue, I imagine in summer its nigh impossible to get a good nights rest here, given the other issues with noise and light. Honestly I only managed to sleep cause the full days of riding exhausted me to the bone nothing could keep me awake, not even the constant chatting and snoring you can hear coming from 3 different rooms at the same time. As for the room, it didnt match the pictures at all, it was dusty, old, ugly and poor quality, maybe we got a bad room... Shower ventilation was poor and noisy, a single shower had our room humid for hours. There were only a few outlets and none in convenient places, a nitpick, but... just a big let down.

Die Lage zum Zentrum ist ausgezeichnet. der Service immer nett. Parkmöglichkeiten direkt in der Nähe. Das Restaurant war gut besucht - leider konnten wir das nicht nutzen.

wir hatten wohl eines der nicht renovierten Zimmer. um es kurz zu machen: abenteuerlich. das Bad erleuchtet von einer nackten Glühbirne in einer Fassung die nur von Lüsterklemmen an der Wand gehalten wird. der WC Sitz frei rotierend, Keramik aus den 80ern, usw. Das Frühstück : freundliche Begrüßung, um Kaffeetassen muss man bitten, die wird einem ohne Untertasse in die Hand gedrückt. Kaffee bekommt man via Thermoskanne am Tisch - wirkte auf mich etwas abgestanden. Wurst und Käse schlagen teilweise schon Wellen. Brötchen gibt es reichlich.

Lage ist gut, 10 Minuten zur Innenstadt SLS. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter:innen. Wir hatten ein renoviertes Zimmer, was top sauber war und zwar klein war, aber geschmackvoll ok eingerichtet. Wir durften unseren kleinen Hund mitbringen ohne Probleme und ohne Zusatzkosten, beim Frühstück ist sie im Zimmer geblieben. Parken ging auch problemlos, in 100 m Entfernung ist auch eine öffentliche Ladesäule für unser Auto gewesen.

Türen auf dem renovierten Flur schließen mit Mechanismus, der alle anderen auf dem Flur befindlichen Gäste aus dem Bett semmelt, wenn Gäste nicht versuchen, die Tür zu schnappen, bevor sie zuknallt. Das ist sicherlich kein Problem, wenn man selbst früh aufstehen möchte. Das Frühstück ist ziemlich basic, die Lage direkt an einem gut befahrenen Kreisverkehr, was am Wochenende problemlos war (da keine Klimaanlage Fenster offen), aber unter der Woche sicherlich etwas lauter sein kann. Beim Frühstück gerne nach jeweiliger Zeitdauer fragen, wir waren am Pfingstmontag von Sonntags-Öffnungszeiten ausgegangen, allerdings galt der Montag. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einem Gemeinschaftsbalkon, was sicherlich Mehrwert für Raucher schafft, bei warmem Wetter bekommt man allerdings recht viel von seinen Nachbarn mit. Für diese Leistung war es dann recht teuer auch im Vergleich mit anderen Saarlouiser Angeboten.
