The property, the owners, the breakfast, the room, bed all superb. Made to feel very welcome and comfortable as soon as I arrived

You'd have to go a long way to find better, more welcoming hosts! So very friendly and attentive. Wonderfully decorated house with many interesting touches. The breakfast is perfect and it's so lovely to be served in a traditional way by Derek, immaculately dressed & wearing white gloves. I stayed in a generously sized room with a very comfortable bed.

There is nothing to dislike!

A grand red brick Victorian property

I loved everything! Pleasantly surprised from the moment arriving (which was around 9pm). The owner greeted me as if I was a long term family friend. The bedroom was large, but very very cozy. So far this has been the best room I have experienced (even better than hotels!). The external bathroom was small but more than adequate for my needs. It was also very very clean. Breakfast was superb. As a first timer in the UK, this is dangerous - I'm totally spoiled. Thank you Holywell House!!

Nothing! Next time I come to Loughborough, Holywell House is THE place for me to stay.

An extremely warm and friendly welcome, which continued throughout our stay. We stayed in a family room, with a very comfy king size bed, and two 'proper' single beds. We were visiting my son at Uni, and it was really lovely for his teenage brothers to have 'decent beds', rather than the 'Zed beds/sofa beds' which often come with family rooms. It's a truly unique and lovely place to stay, crammed with pictures, ornaments and pieces, that bring back memories, and provide lovely talking points and quirky pieces to enjoy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and served in style! The hosts were also very happy for (Uni Son) to join us for breakfast, at a very reasonable extra charge. Our stay was brief, but, from the moment we arrived, tired, at 10pm, to when we left, we felt so welcome. You can also call them direct before booking, and they will help you with what room suits your needs best, for facilities, accessibility etc... We couldn't have been happier with our room. If you are looking for 'modern and clinical', this is not the place for you, head to the Premier Inn or the Travelodge. If you are wanting cosy, warm and unique, then stay here 😊
