Amaen Apartment

Probably the best apartment in Chania. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need — and even more. A dishwasher and washing machine with provided detergents, an iron and ironing board, two air conditioners (in the living room and the bedroom), slippers and bathrobes, and lots of towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything for cooking: plenty of dishes, two frying pans, two pots, a saucepan, a cezve, oven trays, microwave, milk frother, citrus juicer, salt/pepper/sugar/ground coffee — even baking paper and a first aid kit are provided! Upon arrival, we found a lovely welcome pack of food (bread, milk, fruits, ham and cheese, juice, jam …), which was a thoughtful touch and extremely helpful, especially if you arrive late and don’t have time to go shopping. The apartment is cozy and impeccably clean — cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s clear that the hosts truly care and prepared everything with attention to detail. The furniture is in excellent condition. The terrace is a highlight! We loved having dinner with a mountain view and relaxing on the sun loungers after long, active days. There is also a large drying rack with clothespins on the terrace. The bedroom is very nice and cozy too. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the linens smelled fresh and clean. There is an extra set of bedding and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. Despite being located on a busy street, the soundproofing is good — we slept very well. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and only positive impressions. The host was always responsive and helpful. Be sure to read the listing carefully — everything is described accurately. Yes, the location is in a livelier neighborhood and not right next to the old town (around 20–30 minutes on foot), but we were aware of that and it didn’t bother us at all. We still enjoyed our holiday to the fullest. We would definitely love to return here again in the future. Thank you again for everything, Artemis!

Everything was perfect!

Très bel appartement: propre, spacieux , très belle terrasse, très bonne literie, linge de bain très agréable . Facilité pour récupérer les clés . Supérette au bas de l appartement qui a de très bons horaires d ouverture . L hôtel est exceptionnel : il conseille, donne des astuces , et a de très gentilles attentions à votre arrivée ( une corbeille de fruits , du fromage, du pain , le nécessaire pour le petit dej ! ) très très appréciable quand on arrive ! Je recommande vivement cet hôtel !

La route est assez passante donc il ne faut pas s attendre au calme sur la terrasse ...dommage. Mais une fois les porte fermée vous êtes vraiment bien, plus de bruit. Le petit hic est que l appartement est un peu éloigné du centre de La Canée ( 20 / 25 min à pied )

Es ist ein voll ausgestattetes Apartment mit allem Drum und Dran und noch viel mehr. Es gab einen tollen Obstkorb und es fanden sich schon viele Lebensmittel im Schrank! Für den Start ist es herrlich! Die Terrasse war riesig und die Räume waren sehr wohnlich eingerichtet! Der Mini-Market unten drunter hatte gefühlt immer offen.

Es liegt halt an einer Straße mit einigem Verkehr. Wir haben jedoch gemerkt, dass überall in Chania viel Verkehr ist. Von daher konnten wir uns sehr gut damit arrangieren.

We stayed 4 nights in this apartment. It was well equipped with kettle, coffee machine, microwave, oven, washing machine and lovely terrace. The host was kind enough to leave us some bread, jam, fresh fruit, orange juice and milk in the fridge for us. There was a mini market underneath the apartment which was perfect to get groceries easily. There was a larger supermarket 5 minutes down the road by walk. It is situated slightly outside of the centre of Chania but that made it easier to find street parking for the car and access motorway for when we did our day trips. By walk it was 25 minutes into the centre of Chania. Artemis was easy to contact and always available to solve any issues we had.

The road the apartment is situated on is a little noisy but we slept well nevertheless. Also we noticed a strong paint smell in the stairwell. After some ventilation with keeping the doors open it dissipated a little.

Beautiful, clean and just far enough from the center! And Artemis's recommendations were really wonderful! I'll come again! 😁

Exceptionally clean place. It was a large apartment with an even bigger terrace. Lots of amenities (robes,towels,slippers). There was even snacks and fruit left for us on arrival.

Parking could be a challenges. We were ok but there isn’t a lot to choose from. The internet wasn’t always stable and is quite slow.

The size of the apartment, the outside balcony was amazing space, it was so clean, the towels and bedding was spotless white and very good quality, bathrobes and slippers was that extra we did not expect 👌 on arrival, communication was excellent, and we picked our keys up from the shop below, when entered the apartment to a lovely food package, milk bread cheese ham, crackers, water, jam, chocolate spread, coffee, a bowl of fresh fruit what was amazing and was all we needed until the next day. All kitchen roll, toilet rolls, washing up, washing up liquid was provided, this is extra as we have stayed in lots of apartments and villas and this is the best complimentary welcome pack we have had 👍 The washing machine was really easy to use. There was everthing we needed in the modern kitchen, was also surprised at electric whisk/frother that was amazing to whisk up my protein powder 😁 The air con was very good quality, kept us very comfortable in the heat The storage space in the bedroom was great lots of coat hangers The hairdryer was good quality, was a little nervous about not bringing my own, but was really impressed The balcony was south facing meaning sunshine all day long, should you want it but big canopy to protect you, there is a large table and chairs to eat outside, and another 4 seating set, we asked if there was any sun loungers, and was told that we would have 2 the next day, and the next day 2 arrived and was very comfortable 👌 just what the balcony needed, excellent. The shop downstairs is great to pick up daily essentials and fresh bread, but need to be early, but there is a large supermarket synka to the right of apartment that you can get all you need, it's 5 mins walk.

As the apartment is top floor, so there are 3 flights of stairs involved, was not a problem for us, but for the more elderly this would be a problem taking cases upstairs, but I'm sure the apartment manager would assist The apartment is in a busy working area and lots of noise when on the balcony, there is a metal fabrication factory across the road which was very noisy and also works on a Sunday We knew where the apartment was located and did not find it a problem as we get up early and when the doors are shut you can't here it. We did not here anything when we was in bed at night TV was basic which may be a problem for some people

The apartment provided all the amenities. It was very clean and all areas were very comfortable. Great location close to the center. A mini market was located under the apartment so we could buy everything needed! The host was also very attentive and helpful. We will definitely come back!

Easy location to access everything to have coffee, supermarket, Greek quality taverns, 20 mins from the beach walking, cleanliness, looked after property, super flex owner, fantastic balcony, feels like home
