"Okay but stayed at better hotels in York previously"

Location only about 5-10 mins walk to city centre. Didn't order breakfast or try any food but menu did look reasonably priced.

Lack of storage for clothes, only a few hangers and a hanging rail. No fridge in room: so used to getting one as a basic standard so hadn't noticed it wasn't listed on list of room facilities. On arriving, were informed that we had a room with view of York Minster - attached photo shows how little of minster we could see plus view of car park

"A comfortable and friendly hotel well positioned."

The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. It was very dog friendly and although we don’t have a dog ourselves we very much enjoyed meeting all the dogs and their owners. The breakfast deal was varied and tasty. The hotel was well positioned for the hop on hop off tour bus and taxis. The beds were super comfortable and although the room was small it had all the facilities we needed for a short trip.

It maybe could have benefitted from a small wardrobe to hang clothes. An extra cushion would have been nice.

"Fun friendly cool hotel in the perfect location"

Loved the cool decor, staff were all really friendly & helpful & the bar was great. Rooms were clean & had all the needed facilities. Location is perfect!

Bed was very very soft & not comfy for our liking but this is personal preference

"Fair for a few days stay"

We love coming to York and have stayed in a variety of hotels and apartments. The Moxy is in a great location and is only a 10 minutes stroll from everything. The room was pretty basic - there were no drawers or fridge which was a bit of a let down but the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. Felt it was slightly overpriced for what the room offered but you are obviously paying for the location. They offer breakfast and there is a bar so if that’s what you are looking for then it’s a great place to stay

Came for the weekend. Staff was so lovely and welcoming. Facilitaties was good and had a lovely time with the pool table and bed was so comfy
